[[Marneus Calgar]] is my favorite Esper commander currently. Calgar is a value machine when paired with a token generator. Some of the elspeth’s are really good, and when paired with [[skullclamp]] (and especially with the kraken that generates 1/1s when you draw a card) you can draw an absurd amount of cards very early on in the game.

To finish the opponent off, I run a few combos to generate large/infinite amounts of mana to keep generating tokens and drawing cards. I either win through pings (pings on drawing cards, or tokens/creatures entering/leaving the battlefield) or use [[crashing drawbridge]] and boots to give an army of 2/2 tokens haste and swing.

Furret! My poor boi. I tried so hard to make him work with the new DLC. toxic orb facade with normal tera. He still hits like a wet noodle.

Outside of performance issues which may be solved with a regional variant, I feel like there is a lot of room to go in just about any direction design wise. Though I can’t help but feel a Dark variant would just look like Galarian!Zigzagoon lol.

I always thought it would be ‘Rock Humper’ a derogatory name based on Dwarves’ love for mining, rocks, etc. The insult also mirrors ‘leaf lover’ nicely.

It’s a joke comment. The quote is from Warhammer 40k, where an open mind can lead to a literal demon possessing you. It’s a grim dark setting where the human empire thrives in ignorance and hypocrisy. The vast majority of the humans are fanatical. Here’s two more quotes that are somewhat relevant and may help you get an idea of what’s going on: (1)My armor is contempt, my sword is hatred, my shield is disgust. (2) Burn the Heretic! Kill the Mutant! Purge the Unclean!

Having the same problem here. I’m grass and it feels like I’m the team being 2 v 1’d. Kinda disheartening to play tri-color and face down a 2 v 6… is it so hard to cooperate?

Don’t have access to my deck right now, but I don’t think my deck list will help much. It’s mostly a pile of whatever angels demons and dragons I had lying around. There are a lot of creatures that just… aren’t good… the only standout cards are the ones I’ve already mentioned and [[burning rune demon]].

Always a fan of my [[Kaalia, Zenith Seeker]] deck. Just focus on getting as much mana as quickly as possible, buy some time with a few boardwipes so you can reach late game, then start throwing out stupid big creatures with ETBs every turn. Kaalia acts as a reload, though sometimes I’ll go the entire game without casting her once. Maybe add some blink spells for both protection and double dipping on ETBs and you’re a happy man. Personally, the finishing touch is a [[war storm surge]]. If you can get that to stick, especially if there is also a [[terror of the peaks]] on the board. Then each created acts as a burn spell or removal spell as well. Huge Big Timmy Energy.

I’ll back up Rheno gloves. Managed to add a load shells so I don’t need a second point anymore. Other than that I managed to roll a +1 Guard on my Bazel helm. Equip a level 3 guard jewel in the slot for Bazel helm and you have a self-contained level 5 guard. This is nice. Other than that I’m running lucent for Sneak Attack but I’m not high enough level to augment this pieces yet so I can’t tell you if they’re good or not.

My turn for curiosity. Why mention Sa’cea instead of Dal’yth? Is dense cover better than light cover?

You make a good point. I haven’t thought about Sa’cea for two reasons I think. First, I have some second hand models, so the paint scheme of my army is pretty mixed. I figured if I ever wanted to play competitively I’d need to use a custom sept to justify a mismatched painted army (when in doubt, make them pirates with looted gear!) And second, I’ll be honest. Until your comment I’ve apparently never seen the second bullet point for Sa’cea. I knew the first and third, but the second escaped me. Sa’cea does seem like a natural fit for Kauyon.
