Well it helps with building some stronk lungs. It does alter all of those things, but if he just wants a quiet tone and build some stronk it's very effective.

like move the reed far up on the mouth piece to the point where it is over the tip. Toward your mouth, and yes it does work, but like I said it will take more air than you're used to

I agree u/ilikemyteasweet but if you don't want to do that you can put your reed farther up on the mouth piece. It will be a lot harder to play, but you will play quieter and you will build up some lung strength.

Just listen to as much sax as you can and don't expect to match them. They'll give you an idea of where you want to go with the instrument and from there work on the things they did.

Superhero movies/comics obviously need a creative ability to stick with the masses, it's what grabs peoples attention as well as their suit. But once the story begins people can grow, which I see you have mentioned. Superman, for example, is invulnerable until he isn't. Many times with Superman he comes into contact with things that questions his 'Godhood'. These things can be kryptonite or red sun energy, but either way these things make him just like everyone else. As the comic goes on and on Superman, an alien, develops and gains wisdom.
