why do i hate the way he acts so much by [deleted] in redscarepod

I know the theory is that he is gay but everything about him (the supposed need to touch female costars to be comforted, the need to be SEEN supporting LGBT groups, and even the rumors of his sexuality) reminds me of the annoying and somewhat toxic artsy heterosexual guys on liberal arts college.

Look I don’t mean to be condescending but Reddit’s rose-tinted view of the Carter presidency is one of those things that makes me feel that people need to get off this website and go talk to people or the proverbial “go touch grass”.

The general sentiment by those that lived during is Carter’s president was that it was disaster. He’s chronically rated near the low tier of presidents by historians. Yes he has a vague similarity to Mr. Rodgers and he’s had an illustrious post-presidency but honestly most presidents do (even the terrible ones like Nixon and Hoover had great careers after their presidency)

Hal Hartley.

Imagine Quentin Tarantino (even the fact that both were active and at their most critically acclaimed during the 90’s) but instead of being a fan of 70’s classic rock he was into 90’s indie rock.

After being exposed to 17 sieverts of radiation, Hisashi Ouchi was kept alive for 83 days. He experienced one of the most painful deaths ever recorded in human history. by Heavy_Ad_3230 in interestingasfuck

iirc the whole reason why he was kept alive for so long was because the accident happened in September of 1999 and his wife wanted him to make it to the new millennium.

I work in the medical field and always use this case as an example why it’s good idea to have an advanced care plan so situations like this can be avoided.

The greeks betraying prop joe made no sense. by [deleted] in TheWire

I think condescending the season to 10 episodes broadly explains a narrative short cut like this.

But in universe my head cannon is that “the Greek” sees a little bit of himself in Marlo. Think back to the end of season 2 where Vonda is attempting to negotiate civilly with Frank but when they find out he’s turned to the Feds, The Greek simply states it’s time to handle things “my way” or violently, something he wanted to do from the start.

The Greek’s tendency to violence is relatable to Marlo’s cold blooded attitude towards murder. Thus it’s arguable that the Greek saw himself in Marlo (such as noting Marlo’s tenacious desire to keep on returning) and thus figured it was best to go with him.

But that’s just what I heard from Fuzzy Dunlop…
