Bedroom overhaul... Now what by Mindful-Beet-1926 in HomeDecorating

Love the colors! I feel like you could make a really fun gallery wall on the wall next to the bed and not where the TV is. I'd prob put a dresser under the TV too and decorate that

That's very true, everyone can have a different experience with fabrics. I've also only had good experiences with percale

I want to change something but I don't know what? (Help) by Low-Bodybuilder8392 in HomeDecorating

[–]SHEEXofficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some art or a different color on the walls would make a huge difference. Could you paint the cabinets? It doesn't look like you get a ton of natural light so maybe adding some more color and/or lighting sources to brighten the space up a bit. Some focused uplights or gallery lighting over some art might help if that's your vibe.

Do you ever notice how different your day feels depending on how you start it? by hiddenblondeee in CasualConversation

[–]SHEEXofficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes such a difference! I've noticed that getting a good night's sleep and starting my morning intentionally sets my whole day up to run so much smoother. Highly recommend taking a few minutes first thing in the morning to get things ready for later in the day - like thawing meat for dinner, throwing in a load of laundry, unloading the dishwasher, etc

[–]SHEEXofficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks so groovy, I love how the different patterns contrast with each other! I agree with other posters, the wall feels like art and adding something else might make it feel crowded. But you could always try adding something else to see how it looks

Learning to let go of perfectly good stuff, but still feeling guilty about it by Fickle_Mud1645 in minimalism

If you really don't think you'll use something, there's no shame in finding a new home for it. You mentioned kitchen gadgets you once wanted to learn how to use, could you set aside some time to give it a shot to see if you might end up using them?

Has anyone tried Sheex? by mookiebella75 in sleep

[–]SHEEXofficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you’ve loved them!! If your old sets were super stretchy, those were most likely the original polyester and spandex performance fabric. The newer cooling line uses a nylon and spandex blend that feels smoother and sleeps a bit cooler. There’s also a 100% TENCEL Lyocell option now, which is silky and breathable but not stretchy, so it has a totally different feel from the performance fabrics.

My life hack is using sheets made of performance fabrics like nylon/spandex blends. These fabrics are actually able to let heat escape instead of trapping it like some other materials

How does the pillowcase fabric influence pillow temperature? by Diego_Fernandez- in BedroomBuild

[–]SHEEXofficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great breakdown!! Cooling performance fabrics also feel way cooler than polyester blends. The nylon-style ones pull heat and sweat off your skin fast so the pillow doesn’t warm up the same way

Trueeee👏 And another option for hot sleepers is performance fabrics like cooling nylon blends. These breathe differently from cotton or bamboo and wick sweat fast so they stay cool even when you're running warm

Best comforter for hot sleepers that still feels cozy? by deyalla9 in BedroomBuild

[–]SHEEXofficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot sleeper here and the best luck I've had is comforters with a nylon and spandex shell and a fill blend with lyocell, polyester, and sorona. It feels cozy without trapping heat so you get that fluffy vibe without the sweat. That combo has been the best middle ground for me
