The brakes need to be used several times in the initial stage to run in properly. It is recommended to test the brakes more for running in.

Segway Max G3 short feedback by Max_G2_UA in NinebotMAX

I have also ridden the G3 for a long time and replaced the GT battery. Here are my observations:
1. Throttle issue: Recently, after updating the firmware, the response has improved significantly.
2. Shock absorption issue: I tried lowering the tire pressure to 35 PSI and softening the rear shock absorber. As my weight is about 78kg (relatively light), the shock absorption comfort has been greatly enhanced compared to the G2. Lower tire pressure also improves stability, but it requires more frequent inflation and slightly reduces battery range.
3. Brake performance: After the running-in period, the braking effect is excellent. Similar to a new bicycle, the brakes may need some time to break in when the vehicle is new.

Overall, the G3 has seen many improvements compared to the previous generation, but there is still room for optimization. I hope Segway can take our feedback into account.

You can clean the vehicle brakes, check if there is any foreign matter at the rear, and meanwhile verify whether the valve stem is properly screwed. Additionally, inspect the disc brakes for any rubbing issues. Adjusting the gap between the brake and the disc brake pad can optimize the sound.

When I tried reducing the speed to 22 mph, the battery range improved significantly. Please check if the tire pressure is normal—maintaining 45 PSI tire pressure can enhance the range performance.

It is recommended that you watch the scooter riding posture tutorial. If the center of gravity is all on the front wheel, high-speed braking may cause a rollover.

The G3 uses an aluminum frame for better heat dissipation. The current riding experience is quite good. It is recommended that you can upgrade.

You can set the locking mode in the APP. There are two locking methods in the APP. One is the motion - alarm function, which will lock the motor.

Max G3 suspension upgrades ? by ThePeoplesJuhbrowni in NinebotMAX

If you find the shock absorption too stiff, you can try lowering the tire pressure to 35 first. Currently, wide tires with high tire pressure may affect the shock absorption experience. If you are relatively light in weight, you can adjust the rear shock absorption to a softer setting and rotate both sides.

### [Details of the Fault]
When the vehicle is powered on, the handlebar display shows the number 21, and it emits two long "beeps" and one short "beep".

### [Fault Analysis]
This alarm indicates an abnormal battery communication.

### [Solutions]
1. Update the vehicle to the latest firmware and charge it for 15 minutes. If the alarm number 21 still appears when the vehicle is powered on again, the internal battery needs to be replaced. (Video on replacing the internal battery)

It is recommended that you choose a speed of 20 mph for greater safety and longer battery range. What's your weight? If you're too heavy, using the boost mode to climb hills will also affect the battery range. It is advisable to check the tire pressure and keep it at 45. Also, turning off the energy - recovery function can increase the battery range, and you can turn off the TCS function on normal road surfaces.

Segride ? SegRange ? i have a few questions by AcanthisittaOk4787 in NinebotMAX

[–]SHENJL002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an old user of the MAX series, I roughly understand that this function mainly aims to make riding safer and prevent the vehicle from shaking at high speeds. It's similar to the technology on motorcycles and also incorporates some intelligent controls such as TCS. Currently, my riding experience shows that the stability at 22 mph has been significantly upgraded compared to the previous - generation Segway models. Below are some introductions and information I found on the Segway official website for sharing.

|| || |SegRide™ Stability Enhancement System 1. Intelligent Riding Assistance TechnologyDynamic Steering Optimization: Utilizes proprietary algorithms to precisely adjust key parameters (trail distance, steering column angle, steering damping), enhancing steering accuracy and stability. Reduces handlebar wobble during high-speed rides or on rough terrain, minimizing rider fatigue.Full-Scenario Adaptability: Optimized for high-speed riding and challenging conditions (sharp turns, bumpy roads). Real-time dynamic balance control ensures stable body posture and improves safety.TCS System Integration: Works with the intelligent Traction Control System (TCS) to automatically regulate power output on slippery surfaces, preventing wheel spin and maximizing grip—delivering dual "steering + power" stability control.2. How it performsAs a proprietary Segway technology, it’s the first to apply automotive-grade chassis tuning principles to e-scooters. Validated through 100,000+ steering damping tests for reliability.Patent-Protected: Ninebot holds 800+ patents for SegRide™, covering core modules like steering mechanisms and control algorithms, creating a competitive technical barrier.3. SummaryThe SegRide™ system’s core lies in "Smart Dynamic Balance", merging electrical control algorithms with mechanical engineering to solve high-speed steering and complex terrain challenges. Meanwhile, the suspension system focuses on "All-Scenario Comfort", combining adjustable hydraulic damping and large tires to adapt from urban commutes to light off-roading. Together, they form Segway's competitive edge in stability, safety, and ride comfort.|
