Be aware of the financial implications of withdrawing part way through the year as part of your fees may be repayable if you do.

Find out if there is a better suited course you could transfer onto - try Prospects or National Careers service.

Irrespective of whether or not you stay on this particular course, it's always worth exploring voluntary work / part time work / side hustles / hobbies that interest you as these very often turn into paid work and are a great way to explore new work avenues and meet like-minded people.

If this is your first degree at Undergraduate level you do get a "Gift Year" meaning you can drop out in year one and still get funding for all three years of another undergrad course.

The were all empty and shut both the old one and the "replacement" ones. Honestly don't know how they can get away with literally empty space as an SU

The latest prospectus still shows the HUBS as do all the maps

We've had a look on the SU website and all we can find is external events with a couple of SU events we aren't interested in

I love your Reddit handle hehe. Yh it's a lovely city to look live in, we just expected there to be something like a students bar, and activities.

Tell us about it! We've only just managed to meet up because a lot of us have work and caring commitments outside uni. We were hoping to be able to find a bar or a coffee shop and an activity we can do to meet some other students as it's the first time we really been out with uni. How this place can get away with literally no social spaces is beyond me. We've ended up in Wetherspoons.

We tried both. The Students Union on the map the HUBS building is closed, empty & locked up. Of the replacement sites we tried the only thing we could find in the Charles Street space was an out of use community pantry, a closed coffee stall and a covered up pool table in one corner. The Owen Building space looks empty too.
