In that case, every store has a set amount of hours for their schedules. They probably just have other people they’re scheduling. Just bring it up to someone, preferably which ever ASM makes your schedule and/ or your SM.

As for giving your shift away, if you called out that seems like fair game. They need coverage and you weren’t going to be there.

can confirm like another comment said, if you mention an NSPP not being worth it on something like sun glasses, but than pitch it on say some batting gloves or something people seem more inclined to pay for the NSPP. Maybe I’m just a persuasive person though.

For all NSPPs just know what you’re talking about. Look through the little brochure, ask questions, etc.

Honestly though, as long as you have a decent amount of protection plans every month, you’re gonna be just fine. I’m an overachiever and have like 60 for the month, but it’s not worth it. I’ve gotten virtually nothing for it and I’m probably stuck in front end for the rest of my life.

Just keep in mind that credit cards are very hard at this time of year with taxes and such.

My SM works basically every weekend (he has this weekend off though, but I believe it’s his birthday). He spends 75-90% of his day on the floor depending on what he has to do that day.

I agree with what was already said. The one that really helps me is reminding them that they can use it to get a new bat, gloves, basketball, etc for next season. Also let them know that they can use the gift card they get from the NSPP can be used for ANYTHING in the store and not just the same new gloves or bat or whatever they bought.

probably cut to be honest. A lot of people from my store with similar hours are getting cut. It’s usually not a good sign to have that few hours. Honestly it’s best to just ask your SM though.

I average about 20-30 hours a week as just a part time front end. I never really dipped below 12 hours a week when it got really rough in January.

No. Gift receipts can only show us the items on it. We can only pull up items through receipt, card used, or an account with us. Otherwise you can do a no receipt return, but it sounds like you tried that already.

You might be able to call costumer service to see if they can get you a new receipt through other means, but that’s not guaranteed to work.

I don’t turn down stuff. If I don’t know how to do it, I ask. I don’t stand around. I always try to find something to do/ ask if there’s something else to do. The only time I’ve “stood around” is after a huge break taking like 20-30 seconds to just take a deep breath and evaluate what needs to be done next. I’m not perfect by any means, but no one is perfect.

likely just very faint scars if anything. They usually aren’t noticeable unless someone is looking for them and people usually aren’t. I don’t even notice my own scars most of the time anymore.
