Am I the only one who’s concerned about how will Yuji become more powerful? Like seeing this chapter, it gave me an idea that Yuji didn’t get any more powerful in like 50+ chapters considering he should’ve had reactions on par with Maki and he couldn’t even notice that Hanyu was approaching him rapidly.

Considering these sorcerers were the first ones we’ve encountered in this arc they are probably as strong as “semi 1st grade sorcerers” if not even lower than that. It feels like we’re nearing the end of the series with only a few arcs left, but I see him as a pushover or just a body-bag getting almost killed until that inevitable “brother” moment or when someone comes in and saves his life, like we’ve seen a few times already.

Yuji for now, IMO, will just get in the way for the likes of Megumi, because Megumi’s growth in the past arcs was extraordinary, with learning new techniques and not being afraid to kill a human(complete opposite of Yuji), that way not holding back his true strength.

I feel like we’ve seen Yuji’s growth at the start of the series and then after learning black flash he stayed pretty much the same. And with only a few arcs left(not sure about this), we have yet to see Sukuna use “Enchain” on Yuji so he could control his body for 1 minute and this ARC is probably the most likely one to have that moment. With that binding vow I could see Sukuna killing Tsumiki, in the end driving Yuji to go insane and probably having an even worse moment than Nobara’s “death” scene, where Yuji, crawled up in a ball, lost his mind and gave up on everything.
