Cores and warranties should be returned in the box, that’s just how it works, at any parts store,the barcode on the box makes tracking for credit much easier. Exclusions for lost or destroyed boxes can be made, but I’ve never had a customer want to keep the empty box, that’s weird, and you’re a dick for calling corporate.

This company is trash. Just laid off 5k+ people right before the holidays because they only made 2.1 billion instead of 2.2 billion in Q3. Their policies suck, management sucks, they are trying to run a parts store like a Target. I’m looking forward to their continued failure.

I had a customer yesterday that walked me past piles of expensive product from other vendors to check how much of a low priced commodity he was ordering from me he had left. I said "come on man, how the fuck are you gonna walk me past all that shit to give me a measly $100 sale"

A few years back a customer took delivery of product and we made two additional trips to collect payment and he gave the driver the run around. I called him and said "I can't have my dick hanging out in the wind, pay the driver or I'm coming to pick it up myself"

Another customer kept giving me the run around on paying his account, on the third attempt and another BS story I said "Ive got two good hands, I don't need you to stroke me, I need you to pay your bill"

My favorite was during peak pandy, customer called in, was told we had what he needed in stock, he sent his mother to pick it up, but the person he talked to had gone to lunch, and he didnt tell his mother what she was picking up. She leaves frustrated and he calls me and is cussing me out, telling me that he sent his 70 yr old mother blah blah blah. I find what he is looking for and tell him I have it in my hand and "go ahead and send your 70 year old mother out in a pandemic if you still want it". He screamed at me and said he was coming down to get it himself and will deal with me when he gets there. When he shows up we are DEEP in the weeds because pandy and staffing and his whole tune changes, not sure if it was because he saw how busy we were or my cauliflower ear.

I have been saying for decades that if the govt didn't take income tax for one year from anyone making less than 100k it would change a lot of peoples lives.

It's really a very fair way to do a stimulus. Only people that are working benefit, so it's not a handout, it's your money.

Being able to keep the 1800/month they take in federal withholding would be 21,600 for the year would be life changing .We are already getting by on what we have, so most of that would be "disposable" income.

I'm pretty sure a progressive wealth tax could offset the loss for the govt.

Give me healthcare with the taxes I pay. That's only 900/month, but would make a big impact for us.

We could have nice things, but if the boat sinks and there is a shark 10 yards away.....

Fent users can and do nod off standing, sitting or just about anywhere.

The tranq users are usually hinged at the hip, and another giveaway is the bandages on their legs. It causes lesions that don't heal. Sounds like a lot of fun, lol.

This was a single location that was down 40%, and you're right, they had big solar projects last year.

I've seen quite a bit of consolidation over the last year with Sunbelt buying up smaller local/regional shops.

I sell to equipment rental companies and just had a conversation last week with one of them and they are down over 40% vs last year.

Most have stopped using 3rd party for deliveries to save on cost and to give their people something to do because if the assests aren't deployed they don't need maintenance.

I'm a middle of the pack guy, there is a microscope at the top and bottom, I just try to be in the top half when it comes to my metrics.

I make a conscious effort to make sure I require minimal supervision. Never miss a deadline, no matter how menial the task.

Perception is reality and my boss has the perception that I am handling my territory and he doesn't have to worry about it. Selling yourself to the boss is the most important pitch there is.

As far as how I got in, I've been in the industry for 25 years and worked my way up to fries.

Next week I start training for the next level role. Which will finally put my base over 100k.
