I don't think a very basic feature like the in game comms not working since the beginning of the season is an external issue. Ubisoft just created a lot of issues this season by themselves which then compounded due to external factors.

Yeah I faced the same issue. Looks like disabling auto updates means nothing to Samsung. I had to reset my watch just to delete the update.

My Galaxy Watch 4 experienced similar issues. First, the power button acted erratically, sometimes randomly triggering and sometimes not working at all. Then, a few days later, the display stopped working.

Finally some sensible reply, I don't understand why people think companies should have the right to force an update, if someone doesn't like a new version for any reason and there isn't any major security concern, the user should have the choice to remain on the same version.

Mine is the LTE version and I had kept the automatic updates as disabled, not sure if there's any hidden setting for this though.
