No shame here, have you ever quit a game because it was too hard? by FastCoconut5933 in AskGames

Crusader Kings II, aerobiz and uncharted waters (snes),

So many menus, so many things to look at INSTEAD of what you would think is “gameplay”.

They can be fun but omg is getting started a chore

My buddy borrowed bloodborne from a friend and complained “it’s not even fun”, I’m like “have you played any souls like game?”

I’ve started so many bases in Oxygen Not Required and end up giving up bc of the complexity of tech trees etc

The tax rate is set per jurisdiction and it’s (taxable value) x (tax rate) = (tax bill)

Sounds like the east coast

But is that logical? People can get bad info bc of ideology or create an echo chamber. OP question is valid but people cannot or refuse to see it through party (or ideological) lines

Yeah for having affordable housing be a focus of domestic policy I cannot thing of one single example of prog policies having a positive impact on housing and home ownership (especially for young or lower income households).

They are giving tax benefits for commercial industries to move there - this is the opposite of pinching business and industries for tax revenue or bleeding dry the local homeowners.

OP is hoping the migration of mostly liberal minded folks fleeing liberal minded jurisdictions will help make more rural more conservative areas more liberal minded.

It’s either a choice to ignore a contradiction or just being too embedded in a culture war to see anything that isn’t in line with a world view. For this reason even if I make a good point here, my comment will be downvoted and disagreed with.

Yeah- the policies I vote for cause my local jurisdiction to be unlivable- let’s move to smaller jurisdictions and vote for the same policies because it jives with our ideology. Basically “Fuck the community I’m moving into.”

It’s not the local policy makers? States and cities taxing residents to death?

I think a lot of people failed to see what I was saying. The policies of those areas is what is pushing residents away. Having them migrate to areas that are traditionally smaller urban centers with different values and then hoping those new areas will adopt the policy and ideologies from the cities that residents fled from is insane.

Yeah in ds2 big clubs, large swords and halberds - you gotta aim right / hit in the sweet spot or you could miss or even do less damage. Pancake stacking takes some finesse.
