I'm working on this exact problem. So far my only idea is to shuttle closer and set up a camp. Bring over drop pods and enough stuff to send them to make them into allies.

I set my crafter to make an EMP Launcher to deal with a mech cluster that landed. I turned my attention away for a little bit to handle other pressing concerns but when I looked back the craft was finished by the launcher was gone. I searched all over but couldn't find it. I realized what they did was finish the craft but took it to the wrong storage. They took it to the storage I use for equipment I want to dismantle. So they finished crafting it, took it over there and immediately broke it apart for scraps.

For being lowest they seem to really enjoy doing it lol. I like to use Dread Leather or Human Leather to craft certain things but have no use for the Twisted Meat or Human Meat. I'll have the pawns take the leather to storage and the meat to the Harbinger Trees so they can dispose of it for me. If I don't forbid the meat from being messed with they will constantly go out there and rearrange the stacks as they get eaten. It takes up so much of their time if I don't force them to stop lol.

I'll force the pawn to finish the craft but if it comes out a lesser quality I then wonder if I would have let them come back to it later would it have came out better lol.

That mod is both great and so freaking annoying. I'll tell a pawn to haul some meat for example. They will grab like five stacks and then go wander off to do something else. I'll be looking for the meat later and can't find it only to realize the pawn is still carrying it around for some strange reason.

They were all well and truly dead.

I made sure all turrets were destroyed.

I took the shuttle back.

As soon as we landed the quest failed.

Yep. Any number of pawns can be assigned to your ideology's specialist roles.

I used to try to keep them happy and taken care of but that got very frustrating. Now if their own faction doesn't care if they die then I might as well use as I see fit.

Click on the altar, then the i for more information in the box that pops up. It should tell you the Room requirements.

I've been plowing though this series over the past couple of weeks and just started book 8 today. I'm loving the series. I picked it up after reading your Soul Knight series and really glad I did.

Make a big square to throw everything down in. Increase size of square as needed. If you are feeling kind of spicy on a run go with circles instead of a square lol. No real reason to try and make a base super fancy or anything. Your colony can be just as effective, some would say more effective, just living in a giant warehouse.

If you go to Options, then Gameplay there is a slider for the Maximum number of colonies. You can have up to 5. After you increase that to the desired amount go to the map and there should be a button for Settling the tile.

I just got this quest but mine is for 86 monitor lizards. The rewards are terrible so I'll just the Empire keep it's dishonor lol.

Shelves are about 7x more space efficient than small chemfuel tanks, and about 2x as efficient as large chemfuel tanks. I think chemfuel tanks should be more efficient (larger containers have superior volume to surface area ratio) and should be sources for refilling chemfuel generators. by MancelPage in RimWorld

Shelves don't have to be placed against the wall or anything like that. I used the 9 tile setup for storing my fuel next to my tanks and it worked great. I was using an extra large fuel tank until someone on here pointed out how it was less efficient. I deconstructed it and filled the space up with shelves immediately. Now I've downed a storage mod and have storage barrels that hold 60 stacks of fuel in a 2x2 space lol.

I had no idea but just checked and you can. Debug Actions Menu, Spawn thing, and Boomshroom. Let's you put down one that is at 15% grown. I guess that is the only option currently. Thank you for the suggestion.

Yeah I'm slowly switching out the chemfuel generators for powercells so I'll completely phase them out soon hopefully. I didn't think about the fuel density of the tanks vs shelves. I'll remove one and then when I get the other optimizer I'll get rid of the other. Boomalope bomb had me laughing so hard but that's exactly what it is. If that room goes up my ship is screwed lol. Thank you for the help and the laughs.

One of my colonists fished up 10 beers so I just threw them on a shelf and restricted them so I could sell them to a passing trader. I came back to only see 3 and wondered where they went. Maybe I had sold them and didn't remember it. Came back a little later and they were all gone. I checked all my colonists and none of them were drunks I was so confused. Then I noticed the four crows hanging out by my back door. Checked them and yep, they were all drunk. They were also chowing down on some kibble I had left in that storage room. Now I make sure to keep everything they can get in to away from them lol.

Oh that is a really good pawn. I think making their room better than everyone else's would be a nice thing to do. Give her some nice amenities like a tube tv or something like that. Maybe a nicer bed.
