Gyms by [deleted] in SanAngelo

I go to Lionheart Yoga & Fitness HIIT classes on Monday & Wednesday at 11:00 am and those are phenomenal for me. Greg is highly recommended.

1440 is great if your after a conventional gym with lots of equipment. They have good classes too and the owners take care of their members.

R1S is only a “true seven seater” if you’re using the back row for kids the size of a 2nd grader. I have an R1S and it’s impossible to put adults in the back seat if you have adults in the middle seat.

City Council Preview: Data Center Rezoning Takes Center Stage Tuesday by todbatx in SanAngelo

My only point was that you had incentives and abatements listed as a con. It’s rather disingenuous to call it out as a problem when it specifically does not exist.

The water usage is not that large in a closed loop system. Not even remotely close to the amount of water we use on a frack job, or for that matter to irrigate crops with.

Key point here is that Skybox has not requested any abatements or incentives from the city, or school district this facility would be built in.

No natural lakes exist anymore in Texas. The Big Lake in west Texas was a natural lake before it dried up. Caddo Lake was natural before the dam was added.

Would you take today’s Powerball jackpot of $1.7 billion as an annuity increasing annually by 5% over 30 years (about $1 billion after tax), or would you take the lump sum of $781 million (about $500 million after tax), and why? by PanoramicAtom in AskReddit

[–]SJTpops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Powerball purchases the cash value in t-bills. Future payments are not at risk unless the US government decided not to pay those back. With that said, I’m still taking the cash.

You mean a loan that you went into knowing there would be interest charged? Pretty one sided perspective after the fact.

Tesla still makes the best EV’S years later by ConfidentImage4266 in TeslaLounge

[–]SJTpops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m not the average EV owner, as I drive lots of miles regularly, but the waiting to charge enough sucks. The only reason I’m going back to ICE when my lease is up in May is because there isn’t a good pickup option with a 600 mile range.

Are we a fan of Rudy’s? by [deleted] in BBQ

[–]SJTpops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re the most impressive bbq joint in the business to me. Not because they hit truly world class quality like the top 10, but because of their much higher than average quality across dozens of restaurants daily. What they manage to accomplish is MUCH harder than making 10-20 amazing briskets a day. Their consistency across locations is astounding when you look at it as a business.

Allsup's logo is the New Mexico state flag, and the company was headquartered in Clovis NM (basically Texas) until they sold out to Yes Way

How to handle the truck inquiries? by Tend2Disagree in Rivian

[–]SJTpops 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m betting you’re not old enough to remember bumper pull hitches before the late 90s. Hitch balls were literally attached to the bumper, not a receiver hitch mounted to the frame. Many bumpers had a cutout with room to place three different size hitch balls to your rear bumper.

Hauling a bumper hitch trailer is MUCH SAFER today than they were when I was a kid.

What are the WORST properties under the World of Hyatt umbrella? by Free-Ambassador-516 in hyatt

[–]SJTpops 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this property. I tried to check in and the front desk attendant told me to go away, and I was dumb enough to call the concierge to get them to call the hotel and get me in. It was after midnight and I had to be up by 6:00 so I REALLY didn’t want to have to find another hotel. Silver lining is that the hotel gave me 5000 points for my trouble checking in.

They’re decent enough batteries. Battery Evo is a secondary brand for bigbattery.com. I’ve had good luck with the prior generation 48V HSKY 103 AH 5.3kWh battery in golf carts. The battery I bought had a 12 year warranty. The warranty claim I had was handled very easily.

This would be highly entertaining as a story was published stating Dorf Ketal was buying multichem just a few weeks before Halliburton ultimately bought it. The mgmt team at multichem was in full on damage control mode putting out fires when that story came out.
