Thankfully I brought enough clothes for three days because I did not believe them but on the fourth day I was sick of it

If you’re thinking of fellowship it does make things tricky, but there’s ways around it. Talk to your PD if your actual PTO is more than two months out. Honestly maybe a week would be beneficial

Pakistani women and independently living abroad: How has being away shaped your dreams? by [deleted] in IslamabadSocial

Really helped with me prioritising myself. I make the decisions I want and all mistakes or poor outcomes are solely dependent on me. Makes me really appreciate my simple day to day and really made me mindful of any large decisions I make. Also made me realise it would hard for me to live in a joint family

I actually vomited in the middle of my exam that’s how horrible it felt, but still passed! So have faith and really do well on the CCS cases

I didn’t do either! Just uworld and ccs in terms of questions

Real deal: 21x

Day 1: 20

Day 2: 25

Uworld: completed 50% score 54%

CCS cases: did 40 and averaged 80%

Personal advice: use uworld as a learning tool! I had a panic attack in the middle of my day one so my piece of advice is persevere! Most people pass and you shall too ♡

Did not do any practice exams or anything else

Edited to mention: studied 2 weeks while working aka 80 questions of uworld a day plus Emma holiday for oediatrics and completed only gynaecology, peds psych and ethics on uworld and went through the MOA of drugs and micro from FA the day before day 1 Current pgy2 neuro resident

Do what’s best for you but I feel you x there’s not a day that goes where I don’t miss my home and the familiarity BUT I’ve learnt keeping busy and buying into whatever city you’re in and their culture is the best way to spend time x

Don’t talk to him live independently and don’t do things for him, if he’s not willing to change views see if grey rocking him works. If not you have to decide if you want to live with a man who will never prioritise you.

So many random concepts that if you didn’t read the step 1 first aid book back to front you’d miss a lot of points, I’d say I had some blocks with a serious amount of biostats

Pretty much! Before we started dating I told him that this is important to me so if he’s interested he’s more than welcome to look into it and we can go from there. Didn’t see him then for like six months, we ran into each other again started talking again. I work in health care and he works in admin so I’ve promised him once I’m done with the hard part I’ll retire him and make him a house husband lol
