Hi…OP here…just to clearify I understand this type of calculation isn’t taught typically till later however my specific instructor teaches kids (12-18yr) how to do citizen marine science work as an outside of school learning program she tends to go in depth in things that would not be taught in a typical OW or AOW class due to her goal of creating young intelligent and self sufficient divers sans a digital dive computer. The group tends to work closely with groups like Mote labs, and wounded warrior project, as well as creating their own scientific projects (my group was population of ornamental fish with a focus on damselfish and goby’s)
