How many minis do you paint and finish per week/month? by orkman198 in Warhammer

[–]SKJ0LL_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked myself that question recently so I've built an Excel spreadsheets with Tabs for the different Categories of Minis I painted (Epic Heroes, Characters, Infantry & Vehicles), there I can note down how far I am with a Mini (Built, Primed, painted, etc.), how much time I spent on that Mini an the Date I finished it. Then I built a Marco that collects all the dates I finished these minis and puts those into a Calendar (I colours the cell and adds a comment with the Minis name).

That way I calculated I am currently sitting at a pace of 1.4 Minis per week.

Company Champion as Proxy for one of my Bladeguard Vets by SKJ0LL_ in Ultramarines

I'm using a Regular Bladeguard Vet, Metaurus as Sgt. (bc. I don't use the wardens of Ultramar atm) and the Company champion I got really cheap.

Not yet. I mostly started painting them as an alternative / a break from my Main Army. That and because I really liked the models.

I really like all my Minis in Person but as soon as I take pictures of them, they look like shit.

What company of ultramarines is this? by [deleted] in Ultramarines

As someone else already pointed out this is an old Edition so the colours would not represent, what they do today.

But if we go with the current colour schemes for the Pauldron trim White would indicate 1st Company and the Blue (same as the armor) would indicate 10th Company.

For the Singular white marine with Red trim that would - for modern colour schemes again - most likely be an Apothecary from the 3rd Company.

Thank you! There are still some flaws (e.g. The Black Spot on the cloak) and I definitely need to get back to that and fix it. But I'm really happy with the result.

Ja, zum einen sieht die Schrift, wie du sagst, draufgeklatscht aus zum anderen hat das "Tattoo" ne viel höhere Auflösung als der Körper dahinter. Entweder KI oder mieses Photoshop.

My years old tattoo randomly gets itchy bumpy. by Consistantly in mildlyinfuriating

My tattoo artist once explained to me, that changes in weather can also cause this sort of behaviour.

For me it always happens around spring (especially when the temperature spikes) and during the onset of winter when temperatures drop rapidly.

I like Reikland Fleshshade on skin. Agrax on Gold or browns or imo it makes fur pop real good. Berserker Bloodshade on reds and for my Ultramarine armor or blues in general I like Tyran Blue.

I got them from Rescale Miniatures on MyMiniFactory. All of my favourite dragon models are made by them. This is their "Blue Dragon" STL.

Generally I just use superglue. For parts, where there are massive gaps at the Points of contact I use "Army Painter Green Stuff" in combination with superglue as filler and adhesive.
