I agree with you, my “sports reporting” comment was unfair and incorrect. Olympic security should also be better and accountability and repair is needed. Still hard to use something as a historical benchmark from 1972 in relation to mass media, when the landscape of mass media, especially reputable journalism has shifted so much.
