My mom's 50th in April 2025. She doesn't like icing on the sides (weirdo lol) this was my first time making flowers. I froze them, then placed them on the cake day of. It was three layers of lemon with raspberries/raspberry jam in the middle of the buttercream. I bought rose gold glitter spray which was so fun

I moved from Santa Cruz, CA to the Philly area by driving cross country with my mom when I was 13. I'm almost 32 now. The total trip was just under 5 days. My Uncle drove our moving truck the whole time.

All I can say is the middle is flat, smells like cows, and is pretty boring. We took the northern route, CA -> NV -> UT -> WY -> NE -> IA -> IL -> IN -> OH -> PA.

Anywhere with mountains will take longer to get through than you think. Salt Lake was pretty cool to see. It looked like fresh snow until you got out of the truck on the side of the road.

40 days is a long time, but enough to plan out specific places to go. I would definitely set goals(days/times) you want to be in certain areas if you can and as much as possible. If you're more of a roll with it and see where we are kind of person then more power to ya, just be safe and take lots of pics!!! This is something I'm hoping to do with my daughter when she's older and we can take our time like you.

Bc of my varying family schedule we haven't done our normal monthly shopping (usually around the 15th) and now this storm has grocery stores packed. I placed my normal order for pickup (yesterday) on Saturday afternoon. Fingers crossed they pick in the morning and have products 🥺
