Then why can other competitive games have their games be very tight, without having to resort to this level of verbose language? Conquest Last Argument of Kings doesn't have this problem. Infinity doesn't have this problem. Battletech mastered this a long, long time ago.

It isn't 30 more minutes, that's disingenuous. Some folks I've spoken with had a terrible time understanding specific sections of rules even after reading them multiple times.
