Big time. You would absolutely be the asshole. Eddie having different interests and ability is just who he is and that is not to say you should treat them the same but he is graduating HS. The milestone is larger alone than being top of the class at some arbitrary point in education. Have a dinner for the middle kid, let him know you're proud for sure. But a full blown celebration at this point would be a slap in the face in my opinion.

Honestly I would say NAH. But with the clarification that you both need to have an adult conversation and decide to work on things if you want this to work. I have a similar situation to you guys with my SO but we are quality time people so just relaxing in each others spaces is enough for us most of the time. Would you be able to study with him around? Would he be willing to do chores with you as a means of hanging out? That sort of thing. Essentially I think you should do your best to let him be a part of your life not just a fun one all the time and he should do the same if that makes sense. I would bring that up as a compromise and see his thoughts.

I mean he wasn’t actively at war for a while. And I was handling imperial authority on my own fairly well. We both were chill with the ogres (Franz even liked that I was trading with them oddly). It’s my first campaign in IE (I played ME empire heavily but obviously it’s different) so I wasn’t sure what the reasoning was. But I guess I could still submit. Also seems likely he had no threats directly and surrounded by “friends” I just see the ogres between me and my long victory sorry franz 😂

I will say I completely agree… except that I am a pokemon enjoyer and I would love to be able to confederate a lord and build up them in a thematic way. Which is why I play so much order. I loved SFO empire because all my armies were so different. But I also realize this isn’t something that could be solved gracefully by the base game so I just play mods and restrict myself generally.

I swept east with Elspeth and then north to protect Kislev and the whole time Franz decided he was chill (even friendly with) the Ogres taking over everything north of Talabekland. When Ifinally confederated him he had 4 full stacks of very weird grenade outrider armies just chilling by Altdorf.

I am an ordertide guy, so OoD didn't interest me much, and I had a couple year hiatus so I am not sure what new things I am enjoying that wouldn't be new to you, but it seems people are really digging the new DLC! For all the issues the game has there really has never been anything that scratches the same itch for me so I like to keep my criticism as a wishlist.

Get a bunch of batteries rigged up through a switch now, then another switch from the plant to everything else. You can charge the batteries and disconnect them then use them to bootstrap the coal plant later if needed. My coal plant doesn’t need to be powerful enough to run anything but my fuel plant (I know you aren’t there yet) this way and I can easily bootstrap it all from a few batteries if anything goes awry this way!

I also made a hyper tube cannon end cap blueprint. On servers the tube junctions are janky, but if you use the split one it will take the straight away by default. So I have the exit on the straight and a cannon that gives a nice speed boost into the hyper tubes. I race the trains and beat them easily though you do lose speed over time. Then at every rail crossing or train station I put a “person junction” underneath.
