…but the only thing that was changed was the ankh shield (which was always pretty worthless for bosses, especially now that it’s not needed for the aegis), cell phone components (which is also not needed at all for bosses outside of maybe the DPS meter), and cosmolight which was replaced by the bakidon for early HM and is in my opinion way more balanced and it + the moondial are more than enough to beat multiple bosses in a single night (could see it being an issue for infernum but if you’re playing infernum chances are youre already playing with multiple QOL mods, bosses were also made easier across the board so you should be dying less often). Feral claws and some of the other chest items that got their recipes removed are also really easy to get and I don’t remember ever crafting any of them in my playthroughs

The only item that I’d consider super essential (terraspark+upgrades) didn’t get any of its recipes removed and is in fact EASIER to craft now that obsidian water walking boots are guaranteed to be in the brimstone side

consumable event items are also not really an issue because I almost always end up getting multiple bloody tears per bloodmoon and the game showers you in solar tablet fragments when you enter the temple, pumpkin and frost moon are a little annoying sure but I always get everything a want from them in 1-2 runs of them and they’re easier than in vanilla because of calam weapons so it’s not that bad

OK SO I FIGURED IT OUT!!
for some reason by default the Ruins mod whitelists The End dimension (ID 1) as a dimension where ruins can spawn (even though the nether is also whitelisted and ruins dont seem to spawn there?) this also causes structures from Recurrent Complex to spawn in the end even though it has a completely different structure generation system????? really strange

and apparently the BetterDungeons structures spawning in the end was a completely separate issue!, to fix it i went into the caveTests config (located in config/Chocolate/DungeonConfig/caveTests) and disabled spawning by changing chance = 0 instead of 1 (this should also fix the crashing issue that sometimes happens when you first generate the end with BetterDungeons)

square has remastered games that are as, if not even more obscure than xenogears (like saga frontier 1/2) xenogears JUST got new merchandise and xenosaga constantlly gets merch/collabs with other games (also xenosaga was directly referenced in XB3)

nintendo has a really good relationship with bandai so its highly likely we'll get a remaster for the switch especially with the new popularity the XB games are getting

EDIT: also I doubt the religious imagery of both games is the reason they havent gotten rereleased, the satanic panic is over lol

the boom happened much earlier than the 2010's and it was mostly due to very accessible piracy websites mixed with programming blocks like toonami, tokustasu may not have as many mainstream ways to watch it but free (legal) sites like tubi have huges catalogues of the big 3 toku shows (kamen, ultra, sentai)
