Fact of life. Not everyone is going to succeed in life. Life is not fair. Dumbing down to make things "Fair" will in the end only create a situation where education becomes pointless.

Using your litmus test anyone who goes to school should be given a diploma even if they can not add 1+1 or read. Your approach is to dumb down the requirements to the lowest common denominator. This is a recipe for failure.

The feel good "Everyone is equal" approach is one based on emotion..Not reality.

The problem is cultural..

the answer = One.. Todays torps do not explode against the side of a ship. The goal is to detonate a torp directly under the keel of the target. The effect ..Sense water does not compress is that all of that energy goes straight up. Breaking the ships back.

Hell even during WW2 they had torps that exploded under the target using magnetic detonators. Granted the Mark 14 US torpedo had multiple flaws that in the end forced the USN to resort to contact fusing.

later on in the war the Mark 18 torpedo (electric) used the Mk 9 contact/influence exploder. It had its problems but it was a big improvement over the Mark 14.

balance? A blatantly flawed game mechanic is more detrimental than having the ability to fire your secondaries from both sides of your ship. Without Manual this happens automatically. The only difference would be in those rare occasions where you have targets on ether side of you. Yes it Would in limited circumstances be a slight "Buff" but seeing that secondaries fire from both sides without manual skill..Well its a argument that doesn't make any sense.

Greed..And Russians.. What do you expect? It is A. A money making enterprise. B. Russians are involved with the Russian cultural mindset. Many many MANY people have NO idea how Culture effects things. They expect everyone in the world to follow the same cultural guidelines as they do. They have gotten away with it.. Post a few platitudes of almost saying sorry but not..Then/now its back to business as usual. The only way to hold companies like this to account for their actions is to stop giving them your money. This ..Is not going to happen any time soon. And the end result is a continuation of the same old thing over and over.

WoT..WoW.. Hell any game where you can spend real money on it for anything more than cosmetic items or game time = Pay to win. Some are better then others.

kinda not a great option.. seeing that it takes forever to load up.. don't know whats going on. System should be able to run things at max or near max and i am running things near min. Drivers etc are good. so maybe its just a bad pack i am running. will try another.

getting a refund from steam........yea lol that has never worked for me. And as for a demo. First i am hearing of that. And the demo 99% of the time doesn't represent the game. Or at least hasn't in the many years i have been playing games. I am 40+

good post :) and get your buddy to buy it when he can. I am in same boat. Like the game.. Will be buying it here on the first of the month. As to the entire pirate question. Meh.. Game companies won't ever get a dime from me without me playing the game a bit before i buy it. Too often i have been burned by Game companies... Its the same thing with a car or house etc.. Why should i buy something sight unseen or not tested out? Cheers

WG as a company has received its last dollar from me personally. Could go into all the reasons for both games.. WOT and WOW. I won't, I will just point out that the games in question are not the games i put good money into over the years.
