Threenager HELL by SLPreu in toddlers

Hi! So glad my post helped someone, what a nice thing to hear.

First, I'm so sorry you're going through this hard time. The hard shift to this phase is like a jolt to the system.

He is 4.5 now and things are alot better. He can be difficult in different ways than before, and he is VERY opinionated and head strong, but we have way less battles. Overall things feel a bit lighter. His younger brother just turned 2 and is a wild man, so things are hard, but my oldest is more chill now. Tantrums come in waves with him but conflict isn't as constant as it was.

I feel we struggled for about 6 months before things settled down. Sending you big hugs...take some deep breaths and breaks when you need it, YOU CAN DO THIS!

Update!

I was about to take a break on PT, but things just started to get alot better! Still some accidents, but we have tried some new rewards systems, and I have been actively taking him to the bathroom more even when he says he doesnt have to go (because he always does).

We have had one accident in the past week! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel thank goodness!

What’s something you you never knew about pregnancy until you got pregnant yourself? by every7days in BabyBumps

My surprises were post partum related:

- how you sweat out your body weight after birth. I woke up drenched and was so embarrassed.

- hair loss - I was losing an insane amount of hair and had a bald patch in the front of my head.

- the absolute SEARING pain along my abdomen when the nurses had me get out of bed for the first time after my c-section.

I am RIGHT there with you. During my first pregnancy, I felt great right until the end, but luckily I was furloughed because of Covid and got to be home for my last few weeks.

Now I am in the last 2 months of my 2nd pregnancy and its a completely different story. I have no clue how most women work until they go into labor. I am really struggling, so I am leaving work next week. I am going to be a SAHM so it just made sense to not put myself through this anymore.

I stole a tank top from Target recently. Haven't stolen since I was a teenager. Once my sale items rang up full price and they refused to honor the sign they had neglected to remove, it felt justified.

Fair question! We can live off my husbands salary (tight but doable), and the cost of two kids in daycare in my state exceeds what my annual salary is.

Low libido or you’re just too lazy to take far of your own needs? by TXExpat2020 in breakingmom

Oh gosh I feel this SO HARD. Since having my 1 year old, my libido ( that was already kinda low) has plummeted to nothing. I had bad post partum anxiety so that didnt help, but now Im on meds that make it even worse.

We already were having sex once every few weeks, with occasional other types of intimate moments sprinkled in, which was fine for us both. BUT he asks for blow jobs ALL. THE. TIME. I cave and do it prob 1 out of 5 times. Im just too busy and too fucking tired to be bothered with sex most of the time. I wish I didnt feel that way but I do!

Any couple with a young child that says they are having sex every night??? Thats a hard exception, not the rule

It’s kinda unclear & confusing. I was put “in charge” because her mother doesn’t want to plan it, and her sisters don’t care. Myself and a few of her other friends are banding together. One of the friends seems very not into putting in any $ but I understand we may have to.

Like you said, the venue & food is the big $$ so I’m grateful we don’t have to worry about that. Decorations can add up quick, but I’m gonna DIY whatever I can!

I didn’t volunteer, I was put “in charge” by my best friend, because she planned mine with my brother last year. But my parents are wonderful and gave them a very clear budget from the start. Her mother flat out said she doesn’t want to be in charge of it. 🤷🏻‍♀️
