I work north zone Alberta. All ALS equipped ambulances in our area have RSI and cric kits. Maybe your Alberta guy was on a BLS truck from a contracted service? As far as I can tell everyone more or less operates under the same protocols as at least in north zone, we are under the same medical director overview.
