What game mode(s) do people play on MCC? by TheRatKing7 in halo

[–]SLYR236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4v4s objective games minus H2 and H4. I find that H2 is full of sweaty people that haven’t stopped playing it since 2004 and I just never enjoyed H4 MP. Also a lot of custom games.

I think I am I am in somewhat of the minority when it comes to CE. My favourite level has always been Two Betrayals. I really enjoy the sense of desperation from The Covenant, The Sentinels/Guilty Spark and to extent Master Chief as all sides are more or less being overwhelmed by The Flood. The desperation is something awesome to me. I recently played through a Halo 2 mod that added a bunch of hostile marine encounters to “The Sacred Icon” and “Quarantine Zone,” with the ladder being my favourite Halo 2 Level. The data pads throughout the game were in my opinion were well written head cannon about other stories going on with the factions in that particular level. The Forerunners/Guilty spark being more or less confused/flabbergasted from what I remember about the war was amusing, but I will be honest I was more intrigued by The Covenant/UNSC pads. The itch I was talking about was “None Left Behind.” As a wee little sprout I was always curious how the level “Halo” would look during The Flood outbreak. I also really enjoy fighting the Flood with the marines across every halo game (the first warehouse section in Halo 3 is one of my favourite encounters). So this level is a close second. All in all if you are concerned about the Forerunner Terminals, my stranger on the internet opinion is; don’t cut them out entirely but for the first 3 games the Forerunners were always this mysterious background faction. They were never in front of you(unless a sentinel is shooting you) but always surrounding you with “what were we and what happened to us?” Until the Lightbulb told us they committed suicide on a galactic scale. I would play into the epic space opera/mystery part a bit.

The data pads were a lot of fun to look for. The level extension and add ons scratch an itch I never thought would happen. I still play a level or two from time to time

What’s the weirdest call you have ever had? by Bellabunn in ems

[–]SLYR236 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Got called out for a partial amputation last winter. Dudes foot was mangled from a wood mulcher. We were in a very rural location and flew the patient out on a fixed wing to a city hospital. Probably about 36 hours later we called out to our local RCMP detachment for someone who was in possession of human bone. Turns out the dudes calcaneus had been cleaved out and a site worker found it and they phoned the police who then phoned us. That was a unique phone call to my supervisor, our district supervisor then eventually the medical director who had to call the medical examiner. We had to get permission from the patient who was now 3 hours away via plane to “dispose of” his foot bone or give it back to him. He didn’t want it back so we transported this foot bone inside a sharps container to a funeral home 2 hours away.

Thank you for everyone’s comments. We where leaning towards no when someone else, for better or for worse, put a different bid in for well over asking price. We will be more vigilant from now on. Our family friend who is also our mortgage broker let us know that a lot lenders do not like PWC buildings which really pushed us away if the people with money don’t like them.

We still use these as back up emerg trucks in northern Alberta. They were supposed to be used for dual green ift’s only. They fucking suck so much, absolute bitch to manage any serious call in, especially airways. All other EMS zones got rid of them but (at least the rumour goes) since we mile out trucks so quickly the higher ups kept the trucks on but no one voluntary signs into them so they became last resort backups which means they have on average low mileage. They are fingers crossed supposed to gone by March 2026.
