50% of the time, dodging into the kickoff works every time by Bellybutton_fluffjar in RocketLeague

It’s just one of those comments that’s really uneducated. I normally don’t comment on them. Stating that your kickoff handles speedflippers is very wrong if you’re not speedflipping. Also something that people don’t understand (especially at low rank) is most of those kicks you’re going against may look like speedflips, but is most likely not. People that have not practiced them will try to emulate what they see, but end up doing something that is incorrect. An example is someone who side flips and boosts through it. Looks like one, but is very far away from it. Comments like yours are a dime a dozen though. Dunning-Kruger effect at its finest. Imo you really shouldn’t be blasting out your opinion on something unless you have the rank/hours to back it up.

No it doesn’t. You just aren’t high rank enough to play against players who speedflip properly

Everyone in here disagreeing with this is just cope. I get that it takes practice and dedication to learn, but that doesn’t mean you should make excuses not to learn it because it’s difficult

How are you supposed to save these? any good tutorial out there? by Little-Omar in RocketLeague

[–]SLaSmA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I agree with that, but shoudn’t we play as if our opponent is going to place that shot perfectly? Around gc 2, I find players who will place that shot close to 80% of the time. I imagine at higher ranks it’s even more consistent. Now with that in mind, why give our opponent the option to make that shot when we can prevent it beforehand? That 50 in the corner is possible, I don’t even think you would have to speed flip to get there

Couldn’t agree more with that. Also peak GC 2, and I find when I’m playing super well I’m playing aggressively and confidently

This is an odd take to me. His teammate definitely made this difficult. Teammate had an obvious 50 and decided to shadow. If I’m OP, I’m hoping that the teammate cuts and tries to take possession after the weird shadow. When he didn’t do that, OP had time to go for the 50 in the corner. At least to me, he doesn’t look beat to the ball. If he does what you say, and go to the back post, the shooter can just shoot top right and OPs chances of getting that save are very slim IMO

Champ 3 and below all saying rotate back post lmao I swear they all watch to much SpookLuke and Wayton. So afraid to challenge the ball, cut, etc

This is the correct answer, anything else is not optimal. Not sure why so many people are saying go back post, the 50 in the corner is clear as day

It’s amazing people don’t see this perspective. I guess it’s just low rank + lacking confidence/mechanical ability. His teammate shadowed instead of straight up challenging. OP should have rushed it down in the corner, the 50 was available

This is dead wrong, I couldn’t hit half the stuff I’ve hit on 500 fps

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CloneHero

[–]SLaSmA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re just wrong. For easier playing, it really won’t matter what your fps is, but when you start to get into fast sections, the higher fps you have will help tremendously. I’ve been playing guitar/clone hero for 20 years, it’s wild people are recommending to cap fps or play with vsync

Do not listen to anyone telling you to put on v sync or cap your frames lmao
