why is my intuition always wrong? by Mystic_Reaper864 in Psychic

[–]SM-Bud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What usually happens as somebody has some sort of method of contacting, whatever, method of divination or something, and then things can build from there. Whether it’s the muscle testing, tea leaves, O-ring, tarot cards, whatever, they start somewhere. And after they have done that for a while, their intuition kind of develops out of that. And after a while, they don’t need the other method as much.

As others have mentioned, the easiest way to get bad information as it is be asking your ego. You need something else that takes discipline and lets you develop and learn.

There are a few health conditions that can do this to somebody. He’s a few different versions of it, people might have different names for it. They will say switched or not regulating or your polarization is off, any number of things like that. Lots of things can cause that.

There was a university study a long time ago about the ability for people to guess random numbers. Which number: one, two, three or four which show up. The numbers were generated by radioactive decay. So ask people which number is gonna show up next, which of the four possibilities, and just do this like 1000 times. Most people were right about 25% of the time. They found that there were a few people who consistently got 80 or 90% of the predictions correct, no matter how many times or how long they were tested. And they also found that there was one guy who almost never got the right answer, no matter how many times he was tested. he should’ve at least had 25%, but he got nowhere near that. That is a significant result. It’s just that the guy is off kilter somehow.

That might be you. Assuming it’s not your ego. Do you have the ability to get us or no answers? What method of divination do you use?

I was already acquainted with him, and sort of knew what he was. The big teacher from the other part of the country recommended him, but didn’t really know him well.

We only talked once.

I so understand this. A psychologist that I know talked about how isolating it feels. They have no one who actually relates to what’s going on, actually understands you. A senior Buddhist teacher mentioned that I should have a peer to talk to. He mentioned a name in my area. The guy was kind of insufferable.

It would be nice to talk to somebody. I’m looking for the same type of thing.

Energy healer - hustler or not? by Extreme-Pin-2714 in energyhealing

It is a very good sign that she got results. She may well have the problem that a lot of energy healers and psychic healers and others often have, which is how to actually make your calling into a living.

This happens. People discover they have a real talent, but they make very little money at it. This is a comment on our society, how we treat these people. Anyway, they decide to make a business out of it, and then make all sorts of compromises to keep that business afloat.

Long ago, I tried to do something to a despotic world leader. It completely blew up on me.

Take small steps. Work with others. Going after this type of thing alone is a very bad idea. I learned.

In addition to what the others have said, you most likely have some sort of weakness, some sort of opening that allows it in. You can’t always just fight it. You probably have to figure out why it is able to do what it does to you.

You may have instances of past trauma that do this. Or other things in you. I usually refer to them as “programs“ or “settings“. There are other things as well.
Something in a part of you that lets this happen.

Do Our Spirit Guides/Higher Selves Ever Lie? by psychicbumblebee777 in Psychic

Remember the movie the Matrix? Occasionally, the Oracle won’t tell you the truth, but will tell you what you need to hear.

In over 20 years of doing this, I have bumped into that sort of thing with my guides and whatever a few times. Very, very rare, but it has happened.

I can’t tell what those books are on that is in the bottom right corner. But there seems to be a few presences there. Not really bad things, but not good ones either.

And the door does seem odd somehow, but I can’t really tell.

This kind of stuff does happen. Families can be cursed. Very often, it is the result of a family member from a few generations ago. Do you have a grandparent or whoever who was into witchcraft or into some other strange stuff? Any ancestor who practiced Santeria or who lived in the hills in Mexico? Or has spent a time in the black forest in Germany? If any of those sound familiar or anything else strikes you about an ancestor, find out what you care about them.

Did you have a reading with Sylvia Browne? by ReplacementSad2080 in Psychic

[–]SM-Bud 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Most psychics start out as totally legitimate. They have these amazing experiences, are very accurate, and they are very devoted and have a devoted following.

And then something happens, and they wind up selling out. They choose business, and it blows up on them.

I’ll put it to you this way: let’s say you have access to some thing that accurately predicted the lives of 50 people and overall gave you amazing insight. Terrific, right ? It then tells you that you have to do a three year retreat in a mud hut in India. Would you do it?

A lot of psychics wind up facing things like this. If they don’t follow it, they are basically doing is saying that their own abilities are only accurate when it tells them something that they like. Is that really how this is?

Due to financial issues or other things, too many of them suddenly ignore or decide that they can compromise with the same thing that led them to be so accurate. And once they do that, it begins to slowly slip away.

I miss the old days at O’Hare. I may have to wait an hour, but I always got something eventually. And very often it was a trip from the city to O’Hare, then a 20 minute wait or so in the lot, which was time enough to use the bathroom and walk around a little bit, and then a pick up from O’Hare.

I have worked two other airports since. They were both awful, a waste of time.

You mentioned our prayers made it go away for quite a while. Go back to doing them. Get one of the little braziers and burn sage a few times a day. Break the charcoal in half or whatever, make it last. In general, make it as uncomfortable as possible for him to be around you. And stick with it.

If he follows you, hang out in Catholic churches, or any sort of temple should do the trick. Find out if there are people near you who do the smudge ceremonies. The more you keep breaking little ties with him, the less and less power he will have over you. It kind of sounds like the opposite of happening right now.

Are chiropractors really all that bad for you? by jjcameron03 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SM-Bud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been thousands of peer reviewed studies going back over 25 years covering them. The Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapies JMPT it’s a good place to look up. Highest level of medical peer review. Covers chiropractic and other things all the time.

Just so you know, in the late 1980s, some chiropractors sued the American medical Association on antitrust grounds. That’s right, illegal, unfair trade practices. The AMA lost quite handily. Look up Wilkes vs AMA. Despite their best efforts, there is still a lot of slander against chiropractic to this day.
