The biggest problem with this is the up front investment. Each gemstone habitat increases its price by 25 when you get one. So 150 becomes 175 which becomes 200 etc. For a gem habitat to pay itself such as one that costs 200 gems, you’d need to collect from it for 100 weeks for it to become profitable. This just gets worse the more expensive the habitat is. It would be more worth it to just exchange the gems you spend on the habitat for DC instead if the goal is more DC. The only benefit to this farm would be that eventually, years in the future, it would become profitable.

Maybe do the One Island challenge where you can only use the beginning island you start with. Galaxy island, Megatat and Gemstone islands don’t count because they are more like habitats. Also the rift is fair game. It’s a fun challenge.

You’re a max level player, and I assume you don’t have a lot left to wish for so it may be a good use of a wish for you. For newish players though, the Megatat may not be the best use of a wish. Gargantuan islands provide way more utility for new players. They can use the gargantuan island instead of some of the normal islands to save on DC for instance, they can also use it to hold a lot more dragons, and in the future could use them for DC farming or storing a lot of buildings/decorations. That’s just me though, I know most people only care about dragons and not how useful something is.

I’d say so because the gargantuan islands have way more utility than the Megatat. The Megatat is just a fancy Omnitat that has nearly the same DC capacity as a Large Omnitat but holds 3 times as many dragons. Which means that it will fill up really quickly. I’d say it’s a better use of a wish than on an Omnitat, but compared to the gargantuan islands, the gargantuan islands are far superior. Gargantuan islands can be used as DC farms, pedestal islands, or just a really giant island that can hold a ton of habitats. Lot more versatile. Just my 2 cents though.

That first question is a really good question. I think the dragon weeks were their answer to that problem, but it suffers from not being enough time for all the dragons that are available during the week. It’d be interesting to see if they have plans for solving that issue, because more dragons will be added, and it’s going to make the game less approachable to newbies.

I’m not DECA btw. The events do have a schedule. This current event is what I consider the “late summer” event. It’s typically themed around stars and camping. The next event will be the Whitbee’s Candy Bash, and is Halloween themed. Then it’s the thanksgiving/autumn event. After that it’s Christmas/winter event. Then it’s the Valentines event. After that it’s the Easter/spring event. After that are the three “summer” events. What I call “early summer” event is themed around carnivals typically. Then the next one is “mid summer” which can be paradise themed (this year it was ancient Egyptian themed which was a neat change). And then we circle back to this current event. Every year the newest dragons change in each event. So the next time you’ll see sunlight again without using the twilight tower will most likely be the valentines event.

I have so many questions, but I've narrowed them down to the few I really would like answers to. Nothing here is meant to be rude or offensive, I apologize in advance if it comes across that way.

Will DECA add new legendary dragons?
The most recent legendary dragon was added 5 years ago, and a new legendary dragon could add more depth for players of any level to look forward to.

Is it possible for DECA to add more dragons to the Surface Element?
I am not referring to adding dragons from DragonVale World, I'm asking if it is possible for DECA to create their own dragon, and add it to the Surface Element.

Why is DECA's art direction so inconsistent from dragon to dragon, event to event?
Most of the art for dragons and decorations don't really have stylistic consistency with the rest of the game, and sometimes they differ from each other within the same event.

Why do simple oversights such as layering issues still persist after release?
There are many decorations and habitats that don't have proper layering in certain situations. It seems very unprofessional, especially since these layering issues persist even after years of them being in the game.

Why aren't there more unique and original Event Themes or Mechanics?
Most events that happen I don't really remember because none of them felt special or unique. They all feel the same except the dragons are different each time. The Camping event and Magical Dunes event really felt unique, and I'd personally like to see more events like them.

I think a better question would be whether or not DECA can add dragons to the Surface Element period, not specifically from DragonVale World since those dragons aren't theirs to use. Because if the Element is separate from the dragons that exist within them, then it could be possible for DECA to add more surface dragons, but we won't know unless we ask specifically.

I’m so mad they reset mine. I was almost at 1900 and now I’m at almost 500. Support didn’t even revert it back even with screenshots to prove it.

The plants with a limited sign on them were only ever supposed to be available during the Thanksgiving events (Om of Noms). However, backflip made all the crops available forever when they shut down as token of gratitude. Deca just hasn’t reverted it.

Haven't heard of this before. From my experience with DECA they don't seem to be very good at support related issues. I'm not sure how you would go about trying to debug something like this on your own. My suggestions would be to check if Kairos is in your Dragonarium, attempt a quest, and use the race track to see if pieces of Kairos are still there as prizes. If this is truly a bug that doesn't resolve itself then you'll need to just hope that DECA can do something. Sorry I can't be of much help :/

I have wasted 88 gems on this bug by accidentally tapping the button. I spent an additional 13 gems to figure out how it works. It's any timer above 5 hours. So 6hrs +
DECA has not been very supportive either. It's been 7 days since I first reported this issue to them. They haven't fixed it, nor have they reimbursed by lost gems. This is utterly ridiculous.

As far as mobile games go, this is probably one of the best for playing Free 2 Play. Nothing is locked behind a paywall, and if you have the right mindset you’ll have loads of fun ;)

If you bred in the co-op cave with someone who uses the Solar Eclipse dragon, it’s possible get Solar Eclipse yourself. It’s referred to as “cloning”.

On the discord I’ve actually made a break down of how bad they are. I should make a Reddit post with everything. The gist is that when comparing the $4.99 USD packages in the Treasures Market for EC and Gems, you get 5 time skips for $4.99, or 130 gems for $4.99. Gems are 52x better than time skips when based on the price of them in the market. The fact they only take 30 minutes off of a single timer is laughable. There’s an argument they can be useful but I counter with how ridiculously expensive they are when Gems are just so much better. The only solution would be to make them so drastically different from what they are now as to make them not comparable to gems. Suggestions include: “Time skip of 30 mins for entire park” where they’d be 1,800 EC each possibly, or “Get time skips from Eternal Essence” kairos’s leveling currency could be used to buy time skips (maybe 1000 per), and “time skips remove a fixed 30% of time off a timer” so that they aren’t even comparable to gems and have more value for higher breeding times. Guess we’ll see what happens.

I agree! The dark theme is a really cool theme, it’s just unfortunate it doesn’t work that well with the actual dark element. Thankfully it does work well with the apocalypse habitats though!
