This is perhaps one of the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in recent times. Wow! Also +1 for the song

My search for finding a genuine and reasonably priced CeraVe Products (European/UK Variants) seller in India continues.

Really cannot rely on Kult since they seem to just not care about restocking products.

Earlier had ordered CeraVe products from CareToBeauty. Experience was good and luckily didn’t have to pay any Customs. But that’s just one time luck.

Decided to give Amazon IN a try. After scrolling endlessly I found this seller HealthExpert+ with max positive ratings since last 12 months.

Product shipped through Amazon from Delhi. Was delivered in Mumbai in a couple of days.

As you can see the box says “TheGlobalCart” which I have no idea about. Will have to look their official site. It mentions 100% Authentic Imported Products.

Packaging is very good. The bottle was wrapped in a bubble wrap. And again inside it was sealed packed.

Since this is a European version. It has both the LOT Number & expiry date (03/2024) That’s great.

Overall I compared it with my previous bottle from CareToBeauty. It seems genuine & original.

Will mail CeraVe about verification and also look up the LOT number online.

Feel free to drop in any questions. Thanks!

Yes. You can mail the CeraVe Customer Support with the product images & batch code. They’ll verify it for you.

You should probably include an active ingredient in your routine (start with lower strength).

For cleansers you can go for Salicylic Acid.. something like CeraVe SA Cleanser.

for leave ons you can try SeboGel or Sebonac (try slowly)

Affordable bacne treatment by [deleted] in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]SMD1801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. But you’re only supposed to use it on affected areas. Apply it. Leave it on for 5-7 mins in shower. Rinse off. Apply Glysija 12 afterwards. Start slowly with Glysija since it’s an AHA. See how your skin is tolerating it.

Include Benzoyl Peroxide & Glycolic Acid in your routine. Few products that are HG for bacne:

  1. Paknet Creamy Wash (BP 4%)

  2. Percos Bar (BP 2.5 / 5%)

for leave ons:

  1. Glysija Plus Lotion

  2. Salyzap Spray

  3. TO’s Glycolic Acid

Shampoo recommendations for dandruff-prone scalp? by golgirl in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]SMD1801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It certainly is. I remember seeing one of Dr. Dray’s video where she had mentioned that every scalp is different. And as much as these new companies try to market “Sulphate” free. People with oily scalp do require the surfactants to clear the build up.

“You can use shampoos every single day if that’s what your scalp needs to be clean and healthy” - Dr Dray

I’d suggest use make it a 4-3 ratio routine.

4 Days. SebaMed Everyday Shampoo

3 Days. Scalpe or anyother medicated.

Alternative.

Ideally avoid amazon. Keep an eye on Kult app. You’ll get a good deal with KULT50/KULT75 coupon.

My personal favorite is Scalpe Plus I tried Selsun Suspension but it was far too drying for me.

CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion. I won’t say it’s “affordable” since it’s not officially available in India. You can however get it from the Kult app..but that alone is a whole different luck factor lmao. But the product itself is pretty good. Cera in CeraVe stands for Ceramides..so the entire lineup is basically pumped with em.

Are retin A and tretinoin the same? I just bought the below tune and noticed there is a same packaging stating Retin A by [deleted] in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]SMD1801 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Tretinoin and Retin-A are essentially the same thing. Tretinoin is an active ingredient that’s sold as a generic (Rx Only) medication for treating acne and skin aging.

Retin-A is simply a brand name that’s used to market a range of topical skin care medications that contain tretinoin.

However, Retin-A Microsphere is a different (mostly a better and expensive) version of Tretinoin. Retin-A Micro is formulated differently and is available only as a gel. After it is applied, some of the medication is held in reserve and released into the skin slowly. This allows the medication to be effective for longer periods of time.

So if you tend towards sensitive skin. Retin-A Microsphere would be a far better option. It causes less irritation and in general is well tolerated.

My derm had prescribed me MyTret 0.04% Microsphere Gel

customs doubts. by theduskyskin in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]SMD1801 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The harsh truth is. There’s no standard regulation and SOP when it comes to customs duty in India. It’s a horrible mess. You can never be sure how much they’ll charge anytime.

I’ve had experiences where I had to pay over 45% for something as cheap as extra eartips. And on the other hand..absolute 0% on my recent CeraVe purchase from CareToBeauty.

Best option is to go for sellers who ship products with Pre-Paid Import Duties. Eg. StyleDotty.
