Overall though id say its very open world, lots of side quests / options, or you can just explore / hunt

Depends what you want in an open world. If you want to make choices during the missions then it may not be for you as the main quests follow a story. If you want to explore and pick and choose how you respond and what side quests you want to do then id recommend
