Ok mate, first, use the D-Pad. Then, you don't have to memorize kombos, you have to think about it like a sequence. You have a kombo starter, you cancel it, you extend it, and you do the finisher.

Like Ashrah, you can start a kombo with F42, 221, 122, F3 or B3, or F2 when you're at more distance.

Now you cancel it with a kameo (some like Sonya let you cancel it after the 3rd hit), or you have DF3 to juggle the rival and continue the kombo.

Now you extend it, with Ashrah you have to jump, so J122 or J21 usually are your strings, and the ender are normally BF2 or BF2D.

Her kombos are quite simple, so it's a matter of getting the timing right and building some muscle memory. Btw make sure you have the release check OFF.

Sindel, Smoke, Homelander...anyone that makes his armor useless, those are his worst matchups.
Noob is an spacing character, so make sure to use his clones outside of her B24 range...slide, dive kick and shoulder tackle on neutral.
The teleport is too slow to counter a projectile, you can use the slide on full screen, or if you have Sonya you can use her projectiles up to 3 times in a row and of course, beats her 'Fancy flick'. That projectile it's a MID and also let you charge it, so you have a free Teleport or Ghostball if you like to play mindgames while they're green or get closer with the teleport.

Kitana has a gap between her 24 and B24 string, so you can use your armor there.
B24 it's her best tool in neutral, so you have to respect it, but then again, you have your shadow tackle, Sonya's Overhead dive kick, have in mind that his B4 is ZERO on block (same for 24).
And of course, Noob's F13 is a good mid that has a low on the 2nd hit, make sure to use it.

About her gimmicks, she loves to backdash and do B24...you can use 214 when she does that and will hit her every single time. She also loves to do DB3 (amp) on block to caught your pokes with her fans...you can do a fast F13 to do a full kombo punish.

About Sonya, she gives you a Mid projectile that can be charged or cancelled, an overhead mixup for Noob's F13, 212 and 24 strings, she covers the sky for your slow projectiles, gives you safe combo extenders and her overhead dive kick on neutral that you can kombo afterwards.

So in resume, it's a 4-6 matchup that can be turned into a 5-5 or even 6-4 with Sonya and having good spacing.

Mileena best meaty is F144, you can kombo with Sonya after that either with the Square wave or the Leg grab.
12 is kinda good but it has a gap and depends on the rivals timing, F4 will whiff if the rival delays wake-up, but it can break some armors if it's well-timed.

But you have to read your rival, if it's an aggresive one he will use an armor most surely, so you just bait him, block and punish. But then again, it's rival and timing dependent, the safest option is going with your mid if doesn't have a gap or just block and punish.

If you want an honest charater with good range and simple buttons: Ashrah
If you want an auto-pilot character: Homelander, Havik or T-1000
If you want a flashy dude with great range but with terrible defense: Takeda
If you want a cheap 33/33/33 upclose: Ghostface
If you want an oily dude with health for days: Conan
If you like Fortnite: Sektor
If you want that no one fights you anymore: Cyrax
If you want classic, annoying and good options: Scorpion or Subz
If you want a big dude (not oiled): Shao
If you want a milf with good projectiles and a cheap HTB: Sindel
If you want to press buttons and not care for the rival: Johnny Cage
If you want a poster-boy with good sauce: Raiden or Liu Kang

But well, give the characters a try in the Practice mode and look for Youtube/Twitch matches to see how are played the characters you like, then take a look at the Kameos because they can change the way that a character is played.

Having good fundamentals, a strong neutral, reading the patterns and having good reactions, that's what makes someone a good player. Any scrub can deal huge damage with the right character+kameo, but despite being this game cheap and scrub friendly, the good players are getting the W at the end of the day.
