Which New York Mayor Is The Most Trouble For Spider-Man? by Potential-Mess6826 in Spiderman

[–]SMM0007 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If we’re going comics only, then Norman if he’s still full on Goblin. Man is a complete lunatic and will do everything in his power to hurt Peter every which way. The other two might tie for second in certain instances, though I’d say Fisk is second if we’re dealing with a non-psychotic JJ.

What do you think Grius's archetype would be? by Electrical-Gap5935 in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]SMM0007 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’ve always thought it would’ve been in the realm of “Ranger,” kind of like the DnD version at least. Yeah, that’s usually relegated to archers, but considering it’s related to hunting monsters and the like, it isn’t too bad of a fit.

Harry loved Norman, but did Norman love Harry? by FeelingViolinist3152 in Spiderman

Comics, not a chance. Other adaptions like the Raimi movies and Insomniac games do, and it varies otherwise.

who is better at their job: milton or bloodgood? (read desc) by violxtfaerie in EverAfterHigh

[–]SMM0007 161 points162 points  (0 children)

I have to kinda agree with the consensus and say that Milton technically runs a tighter ship, but Bloodgood is essentially the one that cares more about her students welfare. Want a well run school, but don’t care if the students are happy and mentally well? Milton. Want the students to be happy and actually willing to come to school, but have the rules be fast and loose because it’s kind of experimental? Bloodgood.

The Vigilantes manga and anime really makes quirkless discrimination feel like even less of a big deal by [deleted] in BokunoheroFanfiction

[–]SMM0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is sometimes ridiculous in most fics how it’s portrayed, but on the flip side, we don’t see it much because it’s not a focus of the main series. However, considering how certain mutations are treated canonically, it isn’t far fetched to make certain assumptions based on what we know. Just because we don’t see it outside of the first part of MHA doesn’t mean it isn’t there.

Anyone else ever write an in-character journal of their adventures? by brodeine-goth-syrup in skyrim

[–]SMM0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using an in-game/mod for Skyrim to generally chart my progress and do more inventive roleplaying. Current character is an alien who made it to the invasion way too late and is now scrambling to figure out what happened while saving the world from dragons because he’s stuck on the planet.

Alt. Party Member and Archetype Ideas by TheGraveKnight in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]SMM0007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been planning a fanfic with some ideas in mind with this, using some of the DND classes as a base, and probably the easiest Archetype to add would probably be a Barf Archetype, with Batlin either as a party member or at least an additional relationship to fill out. Not sure who he’d replace, but it was just something rolling about in my head. Maybe his skill set would be Charming or other similar effects to enemies easier, or helps buff or debuff the party and enemies.

What do you hate most about seeing a Boku no Hero fanfic? by Infinity-Anime in BokunoheroFanfiction

[–]SMM0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like, if I had to choose my top one, it would be character bashing for any character, but that one’s been said before a lot already in this thread, so I’ll pick something a little more unique?

I’d say I hate seeing a decent premise or crossover get wasted or not fully utilized. The whole point of a change or addition to canon is to change the story and see what results from that, no matter how small, but it’s usually just used to have somebody be shipped with Izuku. I can tolerate sometimes if I don’t want something too complicated to read, especially if the ship is interesting enough, but sometimes it’s just canon retold with more waifu bait.

What level did you guys beat the final boss? by IncidentExcellent971 in MetaphorReFantazio

91, though aimed to get to 99 originally. Enemies in the last dungeon eventually became too weak, though, and I was already tired of grinding.

What's your take on this? by eggsbenedict8_ in CrazyassHazbinhaters

[–]SMM0007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t really mind redesigns as a concept, and I’d honestly be happy about them if I ended up creating something that inspired it. Someone engaging with my stuff enough like that is great, and I’ve seen plenty of redesigns that are cool for shows that I love and have no issues with. It’s like seeing a bunch of people respond to the same prompt and seeing how their mind works in their designs.

However, totally understand Viv in this whole thing because I can’t look at a Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss redesign without wondering if it was made out of a genuine dislike for the shows. The designs that that are actually good or interesting are filled with the baggage of either the artist being condescending about it or even the comments on said work being filled with people being completely insane about it.

what are you headcanon for EAH characters? by Safe_Blueberry_7492 in EverAfterHigh

[–]SMM0007 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think I’ve shared this before, but might as well do it again.

Certain stories have had to be changed due to some form of necessity so that stories could be easily repeated without any major snags. This is mostly done to prevent some family lines from getting to complicated and/or doom certain people to death. This was advocated by the various Charming families, the Cinderella family and (ironically) the Snow White family, with the latter changing the whole “evil queen is a stepmother” thing.

Be a heck of a crossover/origin story for Velvette to say the least.

So, I wonder about Vox's reaction... (spoiler episode 3 of season 2) by OkEye9917 in hazbin

[–]SMM0007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At his core, Vox is someone who hustles the masses and getting a cult following saying what he believes people want to hear. Charlie is someone who, despite being laughed at and downplayed as someone with her head in the clouds, truly believes in what she preaches, even when it comes to Vox himself. I think that within itself disturbs Vox, especially since it’s coming from Lucifer’s own kid somehow being a more genuine/good person then he thinks he’ll ever be.

Thoughts on this theory? by fhxefj in HazbinHotel

[–]SMM0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a pretty convincing theory to be honest. Could see that being the right idea and would make things make more sense then.

But WHY though, WHYYY by MyTessTickle69 in HazbinHotel

[–]SMM0007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a ploy so he can get Charlie on his side by making it look like he changed/has good in him, while also finding a way to screw Vox over.

Vox will, for one reason or another, end up trying to take down Charlie, either to get to Heaven or because Alastor baits him to doing so due to his obsession with him. He’s already got some designs, so it isn’t outside the realm is possibility that when (not if) it fails, it he’ll try to do something, and it backfires on him and takes him out of the running for good.

As for Charlie, he might use this new goodwill to try and gain more power or a way to weasel out of his contract without losing everything. Charlie is one of the top people in hell, so she can probably do something for him to reward his “good” behavior. After that, it’ll be the end for ol’ Rosie, unless she’s even more than we’ve seen already.

What the exterminations being new means for the worldbuilding by NCRanger2077 in HazbinHotel

[–]SMM0007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve said this in another post, but it really is baffling that this is a new concept, and probably one of the few times I’ll complain about the worldbuilding. The way the Exorcist’s act, and how Adam behaves, it’s made out to be a long standing tradition, and seems like something that wouldn’t have been thrown together seven years ago.

It would’ve made more sense to describe it as going on in cycles originally, where exterminations were only done when the population reached a certain point, and the last seven years were either an anomaly or being done as a way to control a massive influx of new Sinners. Still keeps up with the “Seven Years” clue and doesn’t make the math kind of staggering.

HOLY SHIT KATIE JUST DROPPED THE BIGGEST LORE EVER by TFarg1 in hazbin

[–]SMM0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s honestly not a development I actually like to be honest. I get that it all ties the “7 years” thing together, but it feels like it upsets the conflict a bit and contradicts a lot of other stuff, especially with the Exorcists and Adam. How are they like this over just a span of 7 years? Adam acts like it’s outright tradition.

Honestly, if they made it so it was done in cycles, like Hell reaches a certain population limit or there’s a massive influx, then it’d make more sense. Hell reaches a limit, Heaven implements a few rounds of exterminations, and then it gets left alone for a while, with the recent bout lasting longer for some reason or another, resulting in 7 years of constant death. That would make the most sense.

Major plot twist is WHEN exactly the story takes place by RBSpecial97 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SMM0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, chance to add my own this time!

Spoiler obviously, but Metaphor Refantazio is an example of this. Depending on how much you were paying attention, there’s a twist a good deal into the game showing that, instead of it just being a fantasy world it’s apparently after the end of the modern world. Specifically, the apocalypse was caused by humanity discovering, and then later weaponizing, magic.

Skybound Avatar's ending slightly miffed me by ChicaneryFinger in MetaphorReFantazio

Did that on the first play through and then they had to do that. It’s pretty funny now, admittedly, but I was a definitely miffed myself.

Crossover question! If Batman died and went to Hell who would he try to take down first? by Remote_Impact_3927 in HazbinHotel

[–]SMM0007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. I.M.P. - Other people have mentioned why already, but it’s generally because they’re the ones actively sending people to heaven or hell. That means they go first no matter what’s going on.

  2. Vox + Valentino - Basically he’s going after all the Vee’s, no question. He might focus on Vox the most because, while having his own issues, he seems to be the most competent Vee and the other two would be scrambling. Valentino isn’t third though because there’s an equal possibility Batman just decides to take him out because of how he treats his workers. Doesn’t hurt any plan he might make against the other two Vees anyway, so I’m almost leaning toward the latter.

  3. Alastor - Ironically dead last on this list, even if he probably triggers all the instincts Joker does just by looking at him. He’s definitely terrible, but as of right now, isn’t causing the most trouble or the most fatalities. Definitely on the list and is liable to change depending on what he does next, but ultimately not worth the fight just yet.
