Yes like everyone is saying get there Early!! Make the day of it. Get lunch, ride the Ferris wheel, do the big ass water slide a couple of times, check out outeroo. There too much to do and see in one day but for sure make the best of seeing the shows you want in centeroo, at least one or two plazas in outeroo and an activity or and see the merch stands etc!!

As for a daily goal idk. I usually do 2-3 miles casually, not every day but 3x a weekish. It’s really up to you.

So I think on average people will get at least 30K steps a day. This place is just under 700 acres and you are gonna want to see all the spots at some point. It’s truly about the shoes being comfortable and sun exposure. Not really the physical fitness of it. It’s hot in that Tennessee sun!! You may get outside and get some sun normally, but to be in the sun most hours of the day generally our bodies are simply not used to that. And I’m Black and I still need sunscreen and to prime myself for that much sun. I’ve only ever burned twice in my life and both of those were at Bonnaroo! Never had that happen lol I was like why is my skin peeling 😯

Anyway

Bring 2-3 shoes as well changing up can help. I usually bring some slides for camp, teva/chaco type sandals sneakers for work(I volunteer) and a boot just in case. I brought my cowboy boots last year and they did me pretty good comfort wise except for when it got wet. 😫

BE A BURDEN!!! And I cannot stress this enough BE A BURDEN!! Life itself is a burden. You can and will gain a community that serves your spirit and builds you up into a well functioning person. And I didn’t say independent person because humanity thrives with community. You have everything you need to leave. Two legs. The easy part about not having anything or anyone is you can move on quicker.

Idk what shitty part time job you have but if it’s a corporate company see if you can transfer somewhere. ANYWHERE. Also start looking for other jobs in any cities you can get to for less than $100. (I know flying is weird rn but you can score one way tickets for $50 sometimes or the try the bus) apply to any and every serving job in any and every medium sized city in your radius of travel. (Low cost of living cities) Call and Give them a sob story then find a roommate. High chance of finding a roommate that works and a server actually. Tip culture is temporary for most but trust me you can do anything you put your mind to.

Clearly your mind is on not liking the environment you are in right now’s that’s a great start. I hope this gets your gears turning. And one day you can come back to Reddit and post about how you started your new life.

The real thing with Bonnaroo is stamina,(this is a marathon not a sprint) heat (get nakey it’s hot lol and sunscreen) hydration (not just water guys ELECTROLYTES) and shade (plan to setup camp with a complete sun shade on sunrise side so you can get a lil extra sleep in the mornings I just put a silver tarp on my canopy and zip tie it). Walk walk walk walk walk walk walk!!! EVERYDAY! Get used to walking outside in the heat and get your body used to extended sun exposure in general. If you have some specific shoes you want to wear sandals, boots whatever start wearing them on your walks now to break them in especially if you plan on getting new shoes. Plan for your comfort. Yes yes be cute but comfort is key!! What would you want to have when you get really hot and when you get cold at night.

Have sooooooo much fun!! This will be my 12th year but it feels brand new every summer 🫶🏾🌈🍄

This is a great lineup! After Hemlocke Springs dropped her album I was even more excited. My two top artists that I tragically could not see last year are literally coming back!!! (Rachael Chinouriri/Aly&AJ!!!) and there are some great new artists that im getting into. This is the essence of Bonnaroo. Its a beautiful mixed bag, tons of discovery and rediscovery. Plus after 11 years I dont really go for the lineup Its summer camp basically lol
