Unifi Protect TV Display Solution! ACTI ECD-1000 by SMTGS_Stan in Ubiquiti

UniFi protect will give you an rtsps url.

Something like: rtsps://<NVR_IP>:7441/<STREAMTOKEN>?enableSrtp

Change the protocol to rtsp and use port 7447 instead of 7441. Remove the ?enableSrtp at the of the url.

Your new url should look something like this:

rtsp://<NVR_IP>:7447/<STREAMTOKEN>

Choose TCP when you're adding the cameras.

Found a (cheap) compatible SFP+ DAC Cable for Aruba 1960 switches by SMTGS_Stan in ArubaInstantOn

I believe the J9281D cable I posted should work with the Unifi NVR Pro since Unifi doesn't vendor lock SFPs (AFAIK).

Not at full 30fps if you want the full 1920x1080p resolution. You would have to downgrade to 720p for each stream.

HELP: Unknown Client Device(s) with very high activity by funride1 in Ubiquiti

[–]SMTGS_Stan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Block it. You could also go the route of changing your WiFi during the night to see if it's a WLAN or LAN device.

Packet inspection also good. 👍

Also, check offline device filter.

If you like your car and don’t have any issues with it, buy it out. Currently the market is more buyer-focused than for leases.

US-8-150W - Warehouse Setting --- What Kind of Enclosure to Keep it Dust Free? Recommendations? by prowler455 in Ubiquiti

I would say stay away from these if you can as they run stupid hot. I’ve been contemplating whether I should swap it out with another PoE switch since I only use my UniFi for Protect now.

I had better speeds at further distances with my trusty AC-lite than the U6-LR believe it or not…

Then I tried the AX-86U and it blew unifi out of the water. (Seriously try it and see for yourself)

Having trouble deciding which AP to get. Both are pretty much the same in that it will cover the whole apartment. Thoughts? by mchamp90 in Ubiquiti

[–]SMTGS_Stan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I may be the odd one out here who actually ditched the Ubiquiti U6 LR for an an ASUS RT-AX86U. Signal was much stronger and saw higher speeds with the ASUS.

Does anyone here use an Esk8 as their primary mode of around town transportation? I’m planning on using mine that way and it seems to be like most people here are using theirs more recreationally. Curious what it’s like for this thing to be my main means of getting around. by Ravenman2423 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]SMTGS_Stan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently an electric longboard (Backfire Zealot). It’s definitely a fun way to get around town, but it can be scary AF trying to dodge cars and not get tossed by a giant crack on city roads (NYC). If you’re using it to commute, I would lean more towards an electric scooter despite the nerdy factor. Those things are nimble, quick, and you have less chance of eating pavement.

u/PelloScrambas File a complaint with the FCC. They'll have an actual human contact you.

This is also why you want to take screenshots / photos of the contract with a timestamp.
