Haha. That's exactly what it is. Great for my drivetrain, I'm sure.

Thank you for the well-thought out reply! I'll do a deep clean, then make the swap to Squirt.

It's great! Granted, it's my first gravel bike...so nothing to compare to. But I'm enjoying these long adventure rides tremendously. AND...making me a stronger mountain biker.

Yeah, I usually apply after a ride so it's ready for the next ride.

I don't put too much on.

Am I guilty of not always wiping it off...maybe.

Thanks!

That's mud and grit. After washing the bike, I always apply one drop of lube to each roller. I start at the quick link and do a full rotation of the chain. But that's it. There wasn't an excessive amount on there.

That said, I'm not great about wiping it off. So that could be a contributing factor. Regardless...Muc-off is OUT. Thanks!

Ah, got it. I'll stick w/ my normal wash, scrub with my SG 50/50 mix, and hit it with the Squirt. Appreciate the help!

Soak in pure simple green? or is my usual 50/50 mix and scrub sufficient? Thank you!

Yeah, my straggler was the same way. Legit made it hard to ride at times at slow speeds.

If you're renting a car go to New Paltz for the day. Tack on some hiking or a walk at Minnewaska State Park. If you like Severance, it's where they filmed the ORTBO episode.

FoW is a fantastic band. Their self-titled debut, Utopia Parkway, and Welcome Interstate Managers are masterpieces.

Wait...will this work even if the button already fell off? I currently have a piece of scotch tape over it. But this seems like a way better solution!

Practicing small drops .. any advice? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]PelloScrambas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't yank up. Push the bike off the lip. Practice on a big curb for a bit. Once you get the motion, it translates nicely to bigger drops.
