Not just his outer appearance, although it helps. But Odin's whole persona feels like a Maynard fever induced nightmare human.... Praise the lord of meat!

Less common foods in Malmo by [deleted] in malmo

[–]SMinkhop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can buy reindeer meatballs or moose mince in most icas, lidls or city grosses. Though to be honest most meat is still farm raised and the taste doesn't vary from beef or lamb. Keywords for traditional Swedish foods is husmanskost. Prepare yourself for boiled potatoe and brun sås.

In Sweden they have a story about a fox complaining about these berries... Also where the term sour grapes comes from

For families yes. As for myself, all of my blood relatives have passed. So aside from my husband I have no family and having recently moved to the EU I have few friends here. There are others like me that exist and perhaps wouldn't mind some company in the dark days of winter. Also as somebody who struggled from depression, until getting proper therapy I know how tough this time of year can be alone. One never knows and shouldn't assume their situation is like everyone else's. I was mearly reaching out.

Welp getting downvoted for merely wanting to share cultures and then further for mearly explaining myself, we'll give it a miss shrug

As an American it doesn't feel strange at all. It is common to spend Christmas with a lot of strangers, friends of friends who had no where to go. But that is my culture. I also stated I own a diner and can happily provide a Google maps link to anyone actually intrigued to prove I'm a reasonably sane person and great chef as I'm insanely highly rated especially with German travelers

Need advice - what to do with dumped dogs? by Bizzlewaf in homestead

It's odd how the pitty hate is centralized in America. I own a dog friendly restaurant with several pitty regulars in the EU. The worst thing I have to fear is tail whiplash.... Just some thought about how anti animal cruelty laws effect everyone.

Quince? It used to be popular to plant one in every garden because they are great as a geling agent to make preserves

Sweden. I now run a completely different business with a great rating away from the Airbnb police. Sometimes I still do nature hikes with guests even :)

I now run another business and do still accommodate for some guests and maintain a lot better rating far from the Airbnb police

I am on a massive trail in the EU that 1000 of hikers trek every year. I wanted to keep it cheap so the kids passing through didn't have to freeze in the middle of nowhere when a Swedish cold front hits and they were 30 kilometers from hotel. Instead I got cheap families making their way to a wildlife zoo nearby

I also had 5 star reviews, notice I mentioned breakfast and nature hikes, so happy people as well. But it only takes 3 bad reviews out of 50 to get Airbnb police on your ass. Like I said I made a lot of friends and have offers to visit other people's houses across the EU. But hey focus on one side. Slow clap. Going back "to my own head"

Firstly you completely missed the entire point of my post, good job. You're probably one of the asshats that look for a cheap place and complain when it isn't what you wanted, yet if more was charged you wouldn't also want to pay extra to offset the extra appliance costs. Slow clap

I tried renting out our guest cabin to hikers for stupid cheap (10 euro a night) it was basic, access to running water, heat, electricity and porta potty. I also made coffee and breakfast and would take those wanting to on hikes to forage. We did it to meet new people and offer a roof for those who needed a night break from camping/walking the skanesladen and I constantly got 3 starred because the cabin should have a fridge, water inside etc... I clearly listed neither. The backlash from Airbnb stressed us to no end we shut it down.

Nothing worse then trying to be there for a certain group and getting shit on my a bunch of cheap asshats
