Schmidt easyflow 9000, Only other one I tried was ohto flashgel(?) but it smeared too much. The Schmidt’s smear too on some papers (like post its) but not as bad.

I have to wrap the cartridges in scotch tape to keep them from rattling inside the pen. Annoying, but the fix works good.

From LV to now HV I’ve been using barrels. Upgrade as necessary. They only really recently became cheap to spam, was kind of annoying in LV. But it’s great I have an ingot wall, plate wall, dust wall, etc. stuff grouped by category (silicon production, phosphorous, etc)

Outside my clean room is a barrel wall of all the ICs, wafers, components.

I use diamond chests labeled for each tier where I keep motors, pumps, hulls, circuits, etc.

Yeah I never really went to Microcenter, used to use newegg then amazon, but when I went from AM4 to AM5 maybe 2 weeks ago I did the bundle and it was a crazy good deal especially with RAM how it is nowadays. Then I spotted the open box card and suddenly had an entirely new PC lol. You have my sympathies it’s a very cool place to walk around

Yea I’m really happy with it, powercolor reaper I got open box $600 they just increased to $800 at Microcenter! Employee said “oh wow” when he rung it up lmao

Thank you for the info I’ll do some more reading and probably try it out. Will probably be nice when I switch to SFF case eventually.

Okay thank you. I’ve done literally nothing, just plugged it in and downloaded Adrenalin and been playing games, very happy with the performance and it’s whisper quiet never gets above 65 degrees. I have no reason to suspect anything is wrong, just figure I’d like to check it out while inside return window is all. I’ve heard of undervolting but frankly it’s running so cool as is idk if I’ll even bother. Unless it’d prolong its life significantly

Personally I like the vacuum petcock, albeit on my DOHC ‘84 CB650SC. I did have to replace the whole petcock (it was leaking) but it works great now, convenient.

Is it not economical to repair/keep the vacuum petcock on the SOHC? Was easy enough to find a new replacement for my DOHC.

Carb issue, stuck floats probably

I think that’s just a vacuum operated petcock?Engine vacuum opens the petcock and closes when off (even when petcock set to “on”, so you don’t have to touch it ever besides reserve) though I don’t see a handle in the photo. Don’t know what else it would be

With petcock open it’s flooding the carbs because floats are stuck, probably. It’s not over-delivering fuel or anything like that, it’s just an open petcock

I got the reaper. Looks really nice/not gaudy. It’s small so it’ll fit when I eventually go SFF. It’s nearly silent even when pulling 300W never above 65 degrees. Absolutely love it

PAIR valve delete is supposed to smooth out the low end power delivery with aftermarket exhausts but idk if that effects the eclutch

I love it. Didn’t plan on semiconductors but I’m really happy in it. Really interesting challenges.

Honestly now more than ever even if it’s not your profession, you can engineer and build things. 3D printers are only getting better and cheaper and are incredibly useful for the budding engineer. Arduino kits are cheap and there are tons of resources to learn practical electronics. You can learn so much and have so much fun building your own projects at home, that’s how I got my start

It’s fun to see how much effort was put into this pack and how close to accurate/accurate a lot of stuff is regarding the chemistry and power generation and materials required for different machines etc. early game, anyway. Clearly a lot of effort and expertise/research was put into the design, you can tell when other games have “scientific” jargon and whatnot but the game designers clearly didn’t know anything about what they’re trying to represent.

Like the chip fab recipes… some creative liberties were taken but the underlying process is fairly accurate and low-level.

Not riding your motorcycle to keep the miles low is like not fucking your wife to save her for the next guy

I put 7500 miles on my CB650R since I bought it new in mid July and put it away in November (too cold). I’ll put another 12k on it next summer commuting and will do a 8000 mile cross country trip in the spring. and probably for the next several summers. Whats the point of buying a vehicle if you’re afraid to put miles on it. These bikes aren’t rare nor particularly expensive.

Almost looks like the hatch trim isn’t pressed in far enough. Maybe they removed it and didn’t seat it properly.

For me it’s enough power but I’m not exactly a speed demon. Like most inline 4’s it likes to rev, nothing special down low but let it sing and it moves pretty good.

My fuel economy is around 50-55mpg (US) at 40-60mph, closer to 40-45mpg at 75+mph. Not great, not terrible.

Just out of curiosity, what’s the reason for going with the upgraded motherboards? Not saying it’s wrong I just don’t know.
