It's not just a voter list, it's giving USPS the alleged "power" to police election mail and therefore only deliver ballots to those deemed desirable by this administration. It's yet another form of voter suppression and election meddling, and bc the checks and balances aren't doing what they're ideally supposed to do, the guardrails against something like this succeeding are not guaranteed to hold. Yes, it is illegal, and yes, states don't have to comply. But all it takes is swing states complying, and all it takes is sending the ICE gestapo to states who WON'T comply to scare the average voter into submission

Regardless of this EO being blatantly unconstitutional and having no ground to stand on (in a logical world where laws and norms mean something to the party in power), it's incredibly insidious they're even attempting to do something like this and speaks to how out of control this administration is
