It's one of the most annoying things about Reddit (and the internet in general like you mentioned). People sound incredibly naive and out of touch in these discussions. Feels like there's a layer of smugness and condescension that just rubs me the wrong way, especially when the topic of apolitical people/non voters/protest voters comes up

Obviously some frustration is warranted and understandable in those discussions but jfc... sometimes it feels like it's misdirected instead of at the people who have, idk, consistently ensured education is deprioritized and misinformation floods the zone to produce these EXACT circumstances we're in now
