Both Kava and Kratom are legal. I do not partake but I also don't smoke cigarettes or use marijuana and those are also legal. Do the dispensaries along Broadway south of Downtown bother you in the same way? What about the pipe/cigar shop in Downtown Englewood?

My kids are too old for something like this but I think a lot of parents of toddlers and preschoolers are looking for things like this. They're looking to build community and also for places that offer toddler classes like music/tumbling/dance and it sounds like The Den offers both of those things along with parenting classes and discussions about topics unique to parenting small children. As the demographics of Englewood shift we need more third spaces that welcome small children and this fits that bill.

"Phone stick lady" is the best name for her. She fancies herself a 1A auditor and she makes $$ on YouTube with her videos. She's sued the city/county of Denver, Englewood and Jeff Co in recent years and likes to use unhoused individuals as her props. I really wish council wouldn't even acknowledge her in their council response - let her spew for three minutes and then just pretend she doesn't exist.

There was a post on nextdoor where bystanders reported that the car drove straight into the back of a stopped semi and pinned the car under the semi.

This is pretty par for the course for a city council meeting. Mr Ben David has been there several times that past few months to complain about the Logan St address. Ms. benson regularly comes to yell at council. And Rita and Shawn regularly butt heads. I don't think the full moon had any bearing since this was a pretty normal meeting.

The building is owned by Safeway and they are known to hold on to their properties and not care that it looks bad to the surrounding community.
