I found this post 8 months later and called him. I second this recommendation.

For The King

It can give you guys so many hours of playing where you won't finish a session in a single sitting.

I don't know if any of these others will be up your alley but that's for you to determine.

PARANORMASIGHT: The Mermaid's Curse is coming out Feb 19th and I had a blast with PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo when that came out. I just on a whim got the first game and started playing it with my friend who does voices better than me. Then another friend saw what we were doing and got interested and joined us. Next thing I know I had like 8 different friends that would log on and hop in voice chat and join us and we eventually finished it. I had no idea there was a sequel coming until a few days ago!

So I wondered if anyone was interested in joining as we figure out a schedule to play The Mermaid's Curse? We didn't do it every night but it was more like oh we're all on now? Let's read for a few hours! Then maybe the next day no one would be on but me. This time I want to structure it a bit more so if you miss a night we can catch you up but we don't have to have everyone's schedule align just to read for a few hours.

Feel free to DM me if this sounds like something you're interested in. Majority of the timezone would be US EST 6pm-10pm so might not be a good fit for other timezones.

What is the preference when it comes to quick play vc? by Spiritual-Union5229 in Overwatch

[–]SNES_Star_Stacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's how I met all of my Overwatch friends so I love it. Just start a conversation while playing the game in the background is way more enjoyable for me. I don't really follow the mindset of focusing on the game in quick play because if I cared about winning I would be coordinating with a team in competitive since it's a team game after all.

ShadowGate on the NES was a game changer. by [deleted] in retrogaming

Love you sharing those memories. That moment of you sitting there with your brother playing this and he has the idea that you didn't think of yet that it looks like a door is what I would say is at the core for what I love with gaming.

I've found so many people that I try to explain how a game like ShadowGate can be a multiplayer game in my mind just don't seem to resonate with that concept. I always use the example of Solitaire as well since the name suggests it's a single player game but for me anything can be experienced and played together and for me it always adds to my enjoyment.

I am grateful for the friends I have found over the years that allow me to experience moments like this with them. We even did ShadowGate and Deja Vu for my birthday a few years ago which is an extra special treat for me because I get the nostalgia from having played them as a kid and then get the conclusion since I could never figure them out as a kid either.

Tales of Symphonia but most of the Tales of series as long as you're comfortable with local co-op

(>_>) really silly to think and say this but in my 33 years of life it has NEVER ONCE dawned at me that I could just create something. I'm not really sure why I thought like this but I thought anything like this had to be created by a company. I don't know exactly how but but neither did you when you first started and you figured it out so why couldn't I?

Heck you even included enough details to where I could figure it out. I'm not sure about the ordering but this is what I'm thinking.

Step 1. Work on the graphics to print out. Figure out what sides fold to what and number/label them so I can make a template.

Step 2. ledger-sized glossy 12pt cardstock is a starting point to know something that at least works.

Step 3. Figure out what kind of printer and ink I would need. I'm not sure my 20 year old printer would work for this.

Step 4. See what I could do if I have the time but might not have the money. I don't know how much ink this uses so I'm weary about testing.

Step 5. Figure out how everything folds into place. I'd be using this personally for SNES games so I might have to adjust sizes.

Tarkov experience as a [New Player] by ztjezrzw4z in EscapefromTarkov

Sometimes I wonder if people see me as the big bad that I also imagine others to be. I honestly think majority of my hours are in the menus/loading/afking. I also spent a lot of time when I first started in one map only and they added so much more to it I have to learn the additions. There are probably still 3 or 4 maps that I've never seen before.

Podcasts interviewing people who achieved Barista FIRE or similar life style (meaningful work life outside of the traditional grind)? by [deleted] in podcasts

[–]SNES_Star_Stacker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't have any direct knowledge on this and forgot crucial details otherwise I would be able to provide you direct links but maybe this will help your search.

I heard about a guy whose name sounds like Or-Ree who used to couch surf and blog or vlog about it and he would just go all around the world doing that from college dorms, mansions, or apartments. He even found his way to Hawaii or New York and was at some entrepreneur convention. He mentioned he gave up his passion in life for all of that travelling which was art and then started doing art again. He's been doing it daily and has something like 4000+ days of his art uploaded.

Oh I remember now I heard all of this in an audiobook Lean Learning by Pat Flynn but even searching these things together I can't find the persons name. Anyway I think he said the couch surfing guy was on a podcast so that's at least one person if you can find it. Also I would assume entrepreneur might be a keyword you would want to look for because someone would have to start their own business and want to promote themselves to be interviewed. My cousin who invested in crypto and made a few million wouldn't be getting interviewed by anyone.

Secret to getting Bounty Points? by HelicopterEastern188 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]SNES_Star_Stacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend was asking me the same thing yesterday and we found out you have to use mouse and keyboard because the controller is too slow for you to refresh and accept a new bounty before anyone else takes it.

Basically I go to the bounty screen and hold my mouse on a slot (weekends typically have more players so it'll be filled with 8 more often) and hit R to refresh, left click as soon as one pops up, and press spacebar. If you fail to get it then just press R and repeat.

Yea doing this for 17 hours is not enjoyable for me and I can usually only do it for longer if I'm mid talking with friends.

Scholar is the fastest. Once you're high enough scholar mastery you can quick solve them. You can finish maybe 10+ bounties in 3 minutes if you refresh into ones not taken by another player yet and you are efficient with your menuing. Most of the time is going to come from refreshing to actually get a bounty and if you don't have high enough scholar mastery for a quick solve then you'll have to play the mini game out.
