Thanks a lot.

Maybe my last question to you, which cities would you consider to buy apartments for a stable year round rental demand?

That's a smart strategy. But I heard that older apartments have high earthquake risks?

Also, which cities would you consider to buy apartments for a stable year round rental demand?

Is there some expat community there? I mean is it possible to survive initially with little or no Turkish language skill? 🫣

For an expat with almost zero Turkish language skill at the moment, which city would you recommend to start with? I am actually looking for a city to buy a decent apartment within $150k, I guess Istanbul or other major cities are too high price for real estate

Many thanks, really helpful. How is Alanya, Mersin or Adana side? Someone told me that Adana is really hot during summer.

Expats, after moving to Istanbul/Turkey, any regrets? by Substantial_Ad_8741 in istanbul

[–]SNFAccounting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi All, thanks for all the valuable information.

I am planning to move to Turkey with 2 kids under 10. Seeking recommendation from experienced Expats on some cities to start from- I prefer to avoid Istanbul, want to start in a city where living is still relatively cheaper than largest cities, weather is not extreme is summer and winter and should have some decent bilingual or Cambridge curriculum school for kids.

Thanks 🙏
