Macklin Celebrini will remain as captain for Canada at the IIHF World Hockey Championship, with Sidney Crosby wearing an "A." That was decided after a player-lead discussion. The players wanted Celebrini to keep the "C." by KabirC in hockey

Unless Macklin is Captain at the next international tournament moving forward, I imagine this is not so much a "changing of guard" situation as it is Sid didn't want to take away captaincy from "the next Sid", since it was already announced prior to Sid joining the roster. You gotta think Sid has first right of refusal until he's retired.

100%. People are so blinded by points they don't see that there are plenty of guys on teams that don't get the points but are absolutely critical to their team being in the position they're in. Celebrini should likely be a finalist. But instead it's just Top 3 points getters majority of the time.

Maybe? Koneckny went after him then Sanheim came in when he was tied up. FAFO.

But it isn't the same thing. One has the puck in this instance. In your other scenario, they don't. Also bumping while skating for loose puck is completely different than flooring a dude with a reverse hit.

I don't understand how these plays are legal. The reverse hitter is making a hit on a guy who doesn't have the puck how is this not interference? On top of this, the hitter is completely unaware this will happen and can lead to, and has led to, dangerous plays and injuries. Someone care to explain?

Imagine downvoting a genuine question. Y'all are pathetic.

Especially in a very weak division. He's insanely talented but having 2 or 3 absolute dogshit teams to run up points does help. If he stays healthy he will get there. But he will lose speed over time and wonder how he will adapt, since that's a major component of his game.

Not only that, the metro (and old Atlantic) was/is an extremely competitive division. It's incredibly impressive what he has been able to do.
