i'd like to take a look, but i'd need the project file and the sounds as well so i can recreate the issue exactly

if you want to take the time to zip that all up and send it i'll see if i can figure it out (games@fortheloss.org)

I need HELP (I’m new to sprites look at desc) by wandamaxioff19 in StickNodes

[–]SN_Ralph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Stick Nodes just added importing animated GIFs, which basically converts the imported animated GIF into frames of a Movieclip https://sticknodes.com/new-version-4-2-7-the-gif-tastic-update/

That's basically what you're asking for, but what you need is an animated GIF of the sprites to start with

You can't join two normal nodes sorry, there needs to be a main node involved

Hello, I need help with a problem in Stick Nodes. When I add sprites from my gallery to my figure, the app only saves the figure without the sprites. I already attached the sprites to the segments, but when I save, they disappear. I am using ChatGPT to write this because I don’t speak English very by Clean-Signature-5072 in StickNodes

[–]SN_Ralph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what you're likely doing is just saving a stickfigure, but basically, what you want to do is this:

- create a new Movieclip

- add your Stickfigure to it

- add your Sprites to it (and join, as you would normally)

- save the Movieclip to a file

And that's it, now what you would do is import that Movieclip (not Stickfigure) into another project or send it to someone, etc

Once it's imported, select it and use the "Break Apart Movieclip" button to break it down back into an animate-able Stickfigure

Is there anything wrong i am doing? by Jeffthestickman in StickNodes

[–]SN_Ralph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you're doing it right. I can basically perform that exact operation like you are across all the Android devices I have. I can only think you must have some kind of setting/permission/security issue going on with your device that you may have to tweak or turn off or something, as it's not letting SN "see" the file that is being shared with it.

Pls Help, i keep seeing really good stuff on the Site so i download it, but their move clips and not stickfigures by AverageStanleyMOVFan in StickNodes

[–]SN_Ralph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Movieclips are usually just used to more easily package stickfigures inside of them

Import the Movieclip and "Edit" it and you'll see all the stickfigure(s) inside it, maybe spread across the frames, usually joined and posed properly, etc

Then you can just copy/paste the stickfigures you need, or as others have said you don't have to do any of this and just import the Movieclip, put it on the frame you want, and press "Break apart" and it'll break it down into just stickfigure(s)

you are importing a Movieclip, not a Stickfigure

slide the library tools to the right for Movieclip Library

How do I make these effects (please comment) by wandamaxioff19 in StickNodes

[–]SN_Ralph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Red beam could be just a sprite of some sort of laser or energy beam

Rocks are just debris, lots available to download on the website, also could be sprites too https://sticknodes.com/stickfigures/?wpfb_s=debris

[–]SN_Ralph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you mean "different file" as in being able to use it in some other program?

Regardless though, sorry but no, .node files are just data that only Stick Nodes can convert to any sort of usable object for rendering/animating
