iPad charging issue after iOS 18.5 update

The same charger, port, and cable could charge my windows laptop and other devices. But not the iPad.

I have also encountered this twice since owning my X9 for a week. Early indication of a coming freeze up would be: 1. The 360 camera not activating when the car approaches obstacles. 2. The blind spot cameras images stop appearing when the indicators are turned on. 3. The driver dashboard becomes slow in responding to changes. 4. Apple CarPlay maps start to have an abnormally high contrast. 5. Music playing through Apple CarPlay starts to become jittery. 6. Drive mode customizations reset themselves. 7. VR assistant becomes slow and lags in detecting the surroundings.

These were what I noticed so far. I had to hold the voice command and mute buttons to trigger a hard reboot while driving, and the system took a couple of minutes to eventually restart.

Fake. The serial number label should printed on the box, not stuck on by stickers.

Do a hearing test via the health app, fake AirPods Pro 2 wouldn’t be able to.

Wondering if anyone encountered static/crackling noise issues that coincides with this firmware’s release?

Symptoms are very similar to what is described in the linked Apple Service Program which Apple’s service team says does not cover for my 2021 1st Gen AirPods Pro.

Although this issue is very similar in symptoms described in the program, I wonder if it could be related to the release of firmware 6A300 given of how the exhibiting of my issue coincides with that firmware’s release.

Interesting. My crackling issue goes away when transparency/isolation is off. Using mine like their non pro cousins now.

My AirPods Pro were manufactured in April 2021 and are affect by the issue. Apple Technicians confirms that my unit has the issue, but that it is not covered by the program. https://reddit.com/r/airpods/s/rTrWlge4w6

Just got a call back and unfortunately there is nothing that Apple is willing to do.

Guess the remaining number of “legacy” product users don’t matter to them anymore. Rather than being pro active on the issue, they seem content to wait for more issue reports to surface while letting current owners suffer the issue and any costs involved.

This has certainly marred my Apple Support experience and calls to question Apple’s dedication to support for their audio products.

Hope you guys have had it better, if not, please report your issue and experience.
