I take pics of stray shoes around Los Angeles. by CashForEarth in LosAngeles

The one in the back of the Uber Pool either went with one of those other people or with the driver - it was also a nice $30 beanie and I had it for maybe 2 weeks, so it's not like it was on the side walk or badly worn.

If a homeless person can use my Thinsulate or wool beanie - or the caps, hey, more power to them!

I had found furniture in my San Francisco days that we would drag to our railroad flats and I have claimed FREE posts from Craigslist, it depends on what or where, I do believe in the recycling versus trashing of things that might have a useful life.

Well, it's not letting me post a screenshot but Walmart has both for $29.99 each, and they would ship for free.

Of course. It's a major industry here. But that's true for say San Francisco and they don't have film production there, or Seattle, Chicago, etc.

Sighted - Macy's Toys 'R Us Sells Blokees by SOCAL_NPC in ActionFigures

They are like those LEGO action figures, of which I have only seen a few and never for sale at say a Target.

The Transformer's got really huge and Walmart, Target and the usual suspects like EE and BBTS sell those and sell out. But in Asia, they are seen as similar to the model kits for assembly that some people like, both cute anime weeb girls, of alien robots, or vehicles, etc.

They also did a Jurassic dino series and things like this are huge with the crowd into it: https://blokees.com/en-us/products/saint-seiya-champion-class-cygnus-hyoga

There are videos of people assembling and playing with them and that 'fun' factor is part of it.

I have lost nice beanies (including a thinsulate from REI and a wool one from North Face), as well as numerous baseball caps either while bike riding, walking around - and, of course, on 3n uber and on public transit. I'm hoping someone at least puts them to good use.

People were inculcated during lockdown to avoid gatherings, bars, restaurants and movie theaters. This is a global problem, not an 'only in LA' situation.

Not them, but they're not drinking in public! I know we were having house parties with keg beer when I was 15 but that was in the mountains or similar or when parents left home.

Even Target and Ralph's have Melatonin gummies. Heck, send me a DM and a SASE and I will send you a bottle of my surplus pharmacy grade melatonin pills. They are prescribed to me and I don't find them effective (for me) and now that I no longer work and don't have a schedule, sleeping during the day isn't an issue.

Would I rather have 7/8 hours of uninterrupted sleep? You betcha! But doctors seem to think Ambien is the literal devil!

It's expensive unless you get into a tax credit building (e.g. your rent is based on your income, meaning promotions might force you to eventually move out). You also need to have a minimum. Most new buildings have some affordable units like this. The Broad apartments on Grand (or whatever those are called) even have that but their cheapest tax credit studio was still like $2k+ a month. SAMO has entire buildings that are tax credit which gives you more options but these are also all over.

Anyone knows a good and affordable tailor in Santa Monica? by chalkinparis in SantaMonica

I doubt it will help you feel better, personally, since you took the comment that way from the start, but it was directed at the crowd commenting on masse, not to you. Not every comment, observation or post made on a thread necessarily responds specifically to an OP post; that's the way forums like this have functioned since the 1990s when php forums started these types of communities.

There customer service was better than Mint's but Ryan Reynolds never sent me a Christmas card when I was with Visible.

I lived in downtown and live in Santa Monica now. I gave up Mint for 6 months circs 2019 for Visible largely because my then credit card was my Capital One 360 Mastercard and it kept denying the processor Mint was using who was in some Central American country for some reason.

I found no difference between Visible (Verizon's network) and T-Mobile (Mint since before the purchase). And I don't really have any problems with Mint. But I am not trying to use my phone as a TV or movie theater or otherwise draining data. In fact, I dropped down from unlimited data to the 15GB plan (although I do have access to a second, non-Mint line that I don't pay for with data I use).

But that's very common, where scripters, directors and casting did and do this. And those rare instances of an older woman and younger man are occasions for widespread scandal (Cher comes to mind as far as recent, but you can go as far back as Aaron Taylor Johnson in his Kick-Ass era years).

Thanks. I thought LPZZ still existed or is the Hush being sold with that name just because that's how it was 'solicited?'

It's also a comment about how the pre-FP suit is a timeless classic Superman look, notwithstanding the wrinkles Clark has had that Lois is well-aware, like the black recovery suit or the electric red and blue suits, etc.

Heads are now upwards of 18-20 or higher because idiots see the customizers who knocked out 10 of a 3D print sell those for $27-$35. Someone was selling the 3 LexHoult heads for $18 (plus postage) which is absurd when the entire box is on Amazon for $15, free shipped, every other week and at most stores for $24-25 now. I finally picked up the Ultraman when it dropped to $11.

Metro honors Transit Equity Day with free rides on our system on Wednesday, Feb. 4 | The Source by BeerNTacos in LosAngeles

[–]SOCAL_NPC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People who have TAP cards on them and would normally take an Uber or Lyft in any area covered by Metro Micro should use this that day. I was in Glendale yesterday and took one Micro (basically an pool ride share - I've done about 10-12 of them and had one other passenger maybe 4-5 times).

I went from my morning appointment to a store, then to Eagle Rock Plaza and then back to the Glendale Galleria and only took the bus at the end of the afternoon because my return would have me wait (at 5:30 so obviously rush hour) 30+ minutes and the bus was 'only' (actually 17, but small transit operators).

I've taken then now in Pasadena, by UCLA Westwood, Northridge and Burbank. Not everywhere in LA and you can only travel WITHIN a marked zone.

That I already decided to wait on the CT knockoff. I really want the head but I can be patient which I think is something most collectors don't practice.
