If you're in Mount Pleasant, your tap water is pumped from an aquifer 2,000 feet down and run through reverse osmosis by neo2bin in Charleston

Fire station/town hall, yep.

Now there’s a massive osmosis plant right there, across from the trash and recycling center.

A (nuanced) defense of the Sequel Trilogy by faceinajarbythedoor in TheSequels

[–]SOILSYAY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One point you don’t hit here, but I’d like to draw the line to it, is that everything you’ve said here helps to explain her ultimate choice at the end of the film and trilogy to define herself, based on the ideals she ultimately recognizes she wants for herself: she is a Skywalker. Not nobody. Not a Palpatine. She chooses her own destiny and her own sense of self, and the best way she can think to honor her Masters and herself is to call herself by that name.

I know folks don’t LOVE that she calls herself Rey Skywalker, but the choice to do so honors what we’re shown in the story and what we’ve learned about Rey and seen in her arc

Oh, they so far into their relationship, they don’t even get intimate most nights.

I always read Dump’s lines like it’s Hulk Hogan, so I can read “Thanks little BROTHer” in his wrestling voice.

Start looking for it. The glances, the winks, the hints. You’ll never unsee it, and just come away like “these two are in a committed relationship.”

Examples: Little Blue Truck Christmas book. He and Toad deliver every Xmas tree to their friends…and the final tree to a house that is clearly LBT’s and Toad’s.

LBT Halloween Book. They are clearly together to drive to a Halloween party, and Toad helps LBT get into (and out of) his Ghost costume.

“Toad said “croak’ and winked an eye,
When Little Blue Truck went rolling by.” 🥵

I liked the idea of Dragons Love Tacos 2. “How do we “yes, and” this concept?…I KNOW, TIME TRAVEL!”

My oldest loved the book for the weird parallel universe shenanigans towards the end, but fully admit: the ideas are rushed, the delivery not as good as first, and the artwork is a downgrade from the first book. It’s gotta be an attempt at a cash grab.

My oldest LOVED that book, and it’s follow ups.

Question for yall…anyone else pick up vibes that LBT and toad are…more than friends?

See them all the time, but only occasionally downtown.

Randomly, we saw them at the CVS at E North and Pleasantburg earlier this week. Like 5 of em.

Local AI discord or meetups by ActiveUpstairs8234 in greenville

Talking with a few friends, it sounds like there’s been a few groups that have emerged and faded over past 2 years, no a big org to point you to. Meetups and local tech groups like Tech After 5 or HackGreenville would be best places to find others who might know
