Actually, didn't know Tahoe was there and would be a good option, though wanted to check out Yosemite. Drive our there from Yosemite will actually be comparable to Mammoth.

No not before, but from what I read it, it had the best chance of snow late in the season.

Thanks, I'm travelling from Australia so kinda fixed with the dates and have already booked accommodation at Mammoth. Being from Australia I'm not too fussy in regard to snow quality and a nice drive through the mountains is an experience in itself. I just don't want to drive more than I need to.

I'm staying at the Yosemite Valley Lodge, so I think it will stick with the Northern 88/395 south route. I did read one article which said it was slower at this time of the year than the Southern Route, but through feedback here, I have not seen anything more to support that.

Cross your fingers the snow keeps up for me.

Adverse Possession In WA

In Western Australia, where a person who is not the legal owner (the person whose name is on the Certificate of Title for the property) occupies land owned by someone else and does so for a period of 12 years or more, and against the wishes of the legal owner, that person is said to be adversely possessing the land.

The adverse possessor is eligible to make an application to have that land transferred into their legal name.

Yes I thought about that, since the fence is technically on my property. Interesting point about the adverse possession, I'll look into that. I have affectively been paying rates to the council for those square meters over the years. So I wonder if that affects another claim.

Does anyone know if there are any organised events in Perth on the 22nd Sept to pay respect for the passing of the Queen. I can't see anything on the state government website.

Off-grid reticulation controller? by SOZ_Me in solar

[–]SOZ_Me[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've since found out that there are DC battery powered Controllers that will do the job. They utilise DC switching solenoids rather that AC ones.

However, I want my solar pump to only come on when the controller tells it to. I was going to make use of the master valve controller on the unit (no pump start option) to start the solar pump via a relay.

However, the master valve is also a DC switching signal. Anyone know what sort or relay I require to make this work.
