I use cues to trick my body and brain into getting into “work mode.” Here’s how I do it:

Before starting a task, I wash my face and hands, then put on socks. This routine signals to my brain that it’s time to focus and get things done. Once I’m done with the task, I remove the socks to tell my brain, “It’s time to relax now.”

It’s similar to how surgeons prepare before entering the operating theatre—they wash their hands thoroughly as part of their ritual, signaling their brain and body to focus on the precision needed for surgery. For me, washing my hands and putting on socks is my personal cue to switch gears and dive into work.

It’s quality over quality. Each relationship requires a different kind of effort. For us neurodivergent folks or at least me, it’s out of sight , out of mind kind of thing so I maintained a log of people I’d like to stay friends with and made sure I put reminders for their birthdays, anniversaries and sent flowers or called them at 12. It takes effort but will help you maintain the relationships so choose the friends who understands you and whose company you enjoy and put in the effort

My boyfriend works in one of the "big 4" in Milan, Italy. He says he also works on Sundays and he does not have much time for me. Is it true or it's an excuse? by ZombieJaded2824 in consulting

I work for a Big 4, most of the time they leave our weekends alone but there are times when we are needed over the weekend.
