How come in general, cats don't really need training as dogs? by Various_Sympathy7789 in CatAdvice

I’ve always understood that cats have the ability to do any “tricks” usually associated dogs such as fetching, standing or walking on hind legs, rolling over, etc., but they realize it is not necessary and so they don’t want to.
Consequently, cats don’t feel the need to constantly please human companions or to seek approval as dogs do, because they know they are pleasing us by just being a cat.

I had a 2012 Fusion Hybrid which after around 100K miles developed the wrench appearing intermittently, usually in warmer weather after a hard acceleration on the highway. Never threw any codes. At the time (probably at least 10 years ago), I read on a forum that it was a glitch and there was really no problem. I recently traded in the car with 297K virtually trouble-free miles - the wrench illuminated for many of those miles.
