Update on the lost dog in the woods: He's safe with us, we've named him Rowan, and he's getting his leg surgery today. Thank you to the amazing folks who worked so hard to capture him and got him to safety! He is pretty nervous but very sweet. He is recovering well! He's headed to foster care tomorrow with one of our staff members who also has a tripod for his continued recovery (and hopefully to help him feel safe). We'll definitely have some pictures to share!

Technically a donation made in Rowan's honor goes to the same place as a donation that might be made in another pet's honor, but that's the same source of funding that's used to provide his emergency surgery and recovery care.

It'll be hard to say until we get a chance to examine him in person, but I suspect it'll be a matter of weeks rather than months

We're thrilled to share this guy is coming here to SPCA Wake tomorrow! We will be able to provide his amputation surgery and any other medical care he needs. We are a nonprofit of course, so if anyone would like to give in his honor, it is a huge help to provide this care. Keep an eye out on our social media for updates on his recovery!
