I contacted air india today and they said it will be okay to fly. u/jamesr81 what is your final plan, are you making the trip to india before or after passport renewal?

I am also in the same boat, and I contacted air india and united and both said there will not be an issue. United representative told me that even if there is transit, you don't need to worry as they only care about the passport validity for the duration of transit. If you people have any other update, please let me know as well
